The 2007 Hummer H2 SUV measured 189.8 inches long. Five 2026 SUVs—the Cadillac Escalade IQL, Jeep Grand Wagoneer L, Cadillac Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Suburban and Ford Expedition MAX—are longer, measuring from 221.7 to 228.5 inches. That makes them about 31.9 to 38.7 inches longer than the H2, based on the cited model-specific specifications. These are five examples, not a verified ranking of the five longest SUVs on sale.
How long was the Hummer H2 SUV?
The 2007 HUMMER specification brochure lists the H2 SUV at 189.8 inches overall. It gives a different figure—203.6 inches with the rear tire carrier—for the H2 SUT, a separate body style. The SUV figure is the right baseline for this comparison. See the 2007 HUMMER H2 specifications brochure.
Five 2026 SUVs longer than the Hummer H2
Ranked here by the cited overall-length figures, all five are at least 31.9 inches longer than the H2 SUV. The Jeep measurement is from Jeep Canada; the other contemporary figures are from U.S. manufacturer pages or a U.S. manufacturer release.

The difference column is calculated by subtracting the brochure’s 189.8-inch H2 SUV length from each cited figure; the Jeep result is approximate because its source lists millimeters.

Ford Expedition MAX: 221.7 inches
The extended Expedition MAX measures 221.7 inches, compared with 209.9 inches for the standard 2026 Expedition. Ford lists the MAX at 94.6 inches wide with mirrors and 84.6 inches with mirrors folded in its technical specifications. Ford’s 2026 Expedition page and 2026 technical specifications distinguish the standard and MAX bodies.
Chevrolet Suburban: 226.3 inches
The 2026 Suburban is 226.3 inches long. Chevrolet lists width at 93.6 inches including mirrors and height from 75.6 to 76.6 inches, depending on configuration. Its stated cargo capacities are up to 41.5 cubic feet behind the third row and up to 144.5 cubic feet behind the first row. Maximum available towing is 8,200 pounds; towing capacity varies by configuration. Chevrolet’s 2026 Suburban page has the specifications.

Cadillac Escalade ESV: 226.9 inches
The extended Escalade ESV is 226.9 inches long. The standard 2026 Escalade is 211.9 inches, so the ESV’s body style matters when comparing dimensions. Cadillac’s 2026 Escalade and Escalade ESV page lists both lengths.
Jeep Grand Wagoneer L: about 228.1 inches
Jeep Canada lists the 2026 Grand Wagoneer L at 5,793.7 millimeters, or about 228.1 inches. Standard versions on the same page measure 5,488.9 millimeters. The figures are Canadian-market specifications, and equipment variants are listed separately; check the relevant market and configuration when comparing a specific vehicle. Cadillac Escalade IQL: 228.5 inches
The all-electric 2026 Escalade IQL is 228.5 inches long, the greatest length among these five examples. Cadillac lists 24.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row and 125.2 cubic feet with the second and third rows folded. Its published width is 94.1 inches with mirrors and 85.3 inches with mirrors folded. Cadillac’s March 5, 2025 announcement for the 2026 Escalade IQL gives these figures.

Overall length answers one specific question: how far the vehicle extends from front to rear. It does not establish which SUV is wider, taller, offers more passenger room or carries more cargo. Width figures can include or exclude mirrors, while cargo volume depends on which rows are folded and where capacity is measured. A fair comparison on those measures requires matching the trim, measurement convention and seating configuration.

Body-style labels also matter. The Expedition MAX and Escalade ESV are the extended versions of their respective model lines, while the Grand Wagoneer L is the longer-wheelbase variant. Comparing one of those with a standard-length version changes the result: Ford lists a 209.9-inch standard Expedition, and Cadillac lists a 211.9-inch standard Escalade.
This list demonstrates that five named 2026 SUVs exceed the H2 SUV’s length; it is not an exhaustive market survey or a claim that these are definitively the five longest SUVs available.
