The production range includes both the GV90 Neolun and the GV90, so Genesis kept Neolun in the name of one version rather than using it as the model name for the whole range. The GV90 is an electric flagship SUV; public launch materials outline its design and headline technology, but do not establish a complete global price or delivery schedule.
Is the GV90 the production version of the Neolun concept?
Yes. Genesis describes the GV90 as its first full-size flagship SUV and says the production vehicle is based on the NEOLUN concept revealed in 2024. The concept was presented at the 2024 Busan Mobility Show, according to Hyundai Motor Group’s concept coverage. Genesis’s consumer GV90 page also describes the new SUV as evolved from the Neolun Concept.
The production reveal took place in San Francisco on August 19, 2026. Hyundai Motor Group’s official announcement identifies the production range as GV90 Neolun and GV90, resolving the earlier question of whether Neolun would carry over as a name.
What does the name GV90 Neolun mean?
GV90 is the production model name. GV90 Neolun is the name used for a highly specified version in the announced range; Neolun is not replacing GV90 as the model name. The official materials establish those two names, but do not provide a complete country-by-country trim and equipment list. Accordingly, features described for the GV90 Neolun should not automatically be assumed to come on every GV90 in every market.

How closely does the production SUV resemble the concept?
The GV90 retains the concept’s formal, restrained identity rather than copying a show-car appearance feature for feature. Genesis describes a silhouette inspired by the flowing curves of a Korean moon jar, with sculpted fenders and a minimal rear treatment. The production vehicle measures 5,285 mm long and has 24-inch forged wheels. At the rear, the launch description highlights flush-mounted, surface-emitting taillights, Genesis lettering and the absence of a spoiler.
The result, in the manufacturer’s description, is a full-size flagship stance paired with quiet surfaces and a lounge-like cabin. Those are design claims, not independent driving or comfort evaluations.

What is the Neolun Arch Gate?
The Neolun Arch Gate is Genesis’s name for the GV90’s hidden B-pillar coach-door system. Genesis says the doors open independently, creating a broad entry area. The manufacturer calls the design a world first; that is Genesis’s claim, not an independently verified industry finding. Its inclusion is a particularly distinctive link between the production SUV and the concept’s dramatic presentation.

The August 2026 reveal confirms the vehicle’s identity and announced technology, but the cited official sources do not provide a complete public retail price, a firm delivery calendar, or a country-by-country specification matrix. Availability and ordering details therefore need to be checked with Genesis in the buyer’s market. Until regional pricing and delivery information is published, a single global price or arrival date would be speculative.
