Ferrari’s public filings describe preferential access for loyal clients, but the reviewed official sources do not publish a universal blacklist or a set of rules that guarantees a buyer will avoid restrictions.
Is there really a Ferrari blacklist?
Ferrari’s public materials describe a strategy of exclusivity and preferential access for loyal clients. They do not identify a public blacklist, name a complete set of disqualifying behaviors, or provide a formula that guarantees an allocation. A 2022 report by Marketing-Interactive described Ferrari clarifying that it had not imposed a general ban while reporting limits on access to exclusive or special-edition models. That is a media report from 2022, not proof of a standing policy or any customer’s current status.
Why access to some Ferraris depends on the customer relationship
Ferrari says it rewards its most loyal and active clients with preferential access to its newest, most exclusive, and highest-value cars. The company also describes a carefully selected dealer network intended to protect brand integrity and the client experience. Those policies help explain why access to a limited model may depend on a buyer’s relationship with Ferrari; they do not amount to a published blacklist or universal eligibility test. What Ferrari’s sales figures show
Ferrari reported that approximately 84% of its new cars in 2025 went to clients who already owned at least one Ferrari. In 2024, approximately 81% of new cars went to existing Ferrari clients, and 48% went to clients who owned more than one Ferrari. These company-reported figures show the importance of repeat-client relationships, but they do not prove that first-time buyers are categorically excluded or reveal what conduct might affect an individual allocation. What can you do to protect your chances?
There is no verified checklist that guarantees access to a particular Ferrari. The practical approach is to establish the terms for the specific model and market directly with an authorized dealer rather than relying on online claims about universal rules.
- Ask how allocation works for the model you want. Find out whether the model is available in your market, what the dealer’s process is, and what information or purchase history is relevant. A dealer can explain its process but cannot be assumed to guarantee an allocation.
- Read the purchase agreement before committing. Ask for the exact resale, transfer, and approval terms that apply to that car. Restrictions may differ by agreement, model, dealer, and market.
- Get important terms in writing. If a condition affects your decision—such as transfer approval or a limit on resale—ask the dealer to identify the applicable contract language rather than treating a verbal assurance or online anecdote as a rule.
- Separate dated announcements from eligibility policy. For example, Ferrari’s March 27, 2025 commercial-policy release addressed potential US import tariffs and specified different pricing treatment for certain orders and model families. Do resale, customization, or criticism get you blacklisted?
The reviewed official sources do not establish that any one of these actions automatically triggers a ban. Resale and transfer terms can depend on the individual contract, model, dealer, and market; the public materials do not set out a universal rule. The evidence also does not establish that customization or public criticism is a blanket cause for losing access. Treat claims about those behaviors as unverified unless they are supported by the specific terms that apply to your purchase.
