Ducati introduced the redesigned XDiavel V4 in February 2025, bringing its 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine to a motorcycle that retains the XDiavel’s forward-footpeg cruiser stance. Ducati lists 168 hp and claims a sub-three-second 0–60 mph time; those are manufacturer figures, not independent test results. The new model also gets sport-bike-derived chassis and braking hardware, revised passenger accommodations, and a broad set of electronic rider aids.
What changed on the XDiavel V4?
This is a new V4-generation XDiavel, not a confirmed 2026 relaunch after a documented hiatus. Ducati announced the redesigned model on 13 February 2025 as a complete redesign of the XDiavel 1260 concept. Its central contrast remains the point: a relaxed cruiser riding position paired with a high-output V4 and performance-oriented chassis equipment.
Ducati described the idea as “A unique bike, whose soul now combines the performance of the MotoGP-derived V4 engine with a cruiser riding position and the sensual beauty that characterizes all Ducatis.” That is the manufacturer’s description, rather than an independent assessment. How powerful is the V4 engine?
The XDiavel V4 uses Ducati’s 1,158 cc, 90-degree V4 Granturismo. Ducati publishes maximum output of 168 hp (124 kW) at 10,750 rpm and peak torque of 126 Nm (93 lb-ft) at 7,500 rpm. Those figures establish the engine’s stated output; they do not by themselves describe how it feels on the road.

Ducati claims the motorcycle can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under three seconds. Its March 2025 production announcement separately states 0–100 km/h in less than three seconds. What chassis and braking hardware does it use?
Ducati pairs the V4 with an aluminum monocoque frame, a counter-rotating crankshaft, fully adjustable suspension and a single-sided swingarm. Ducati says the crankshaft’s counter-rotation helps compensate for gyroscopic effect and improve agility during direction changes; that is the manufacturer’s explanation of the design, not a measured handling result.

At the front, the specification lists 330 mm discs and Brembo Stylema calipers. The rear tire is an unusually broad 240/45 ZR17, matched with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire; Ducati lists Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires on its US specification page. Ducati also publishes a peak braking deceleration figure of 11.5 m/s², which should be read as a manufacturer figure rather than an independently confirmed test. Ducati XDiavel V4 specifications
Does it still ride like a cruiser?
Yes in its basic layout: the XDiavel V4 retains forward footpegs, a wide handlebar, a low seat and a relaxed posture. Ducati lists two rider footpeg positions. A central footpeg repositioning kit is offered for riders seeking a sportier position and greater lean angles; it is an accessory, not a standard feature.

Ducati’s US product page lists a Comfort seat with 0.6 in (15 mm) more foam and a different rear shape, as well as a lowered seat option. These are accessories, and availability or fitment can vary by market. Ducati XDiavel V4 specifications Ducati accessories
What are the published dimensions and weight?
Ducati’s US model specification gives a wet weight of 505 lb (229 kg) without fuel, a seat height of 30.3 in (770 mm), and a wheelbase of 63.8 in (1,620 mm). The weight’s “without fuel” condition matters when comparing it with figures published using different measurement conventions. Ducati also lists a 5.3 US gal (20 L) fuel tank. Which rider aids and display are listed?
Ducati’s US product page lists these as standard equipment:
- Three Power Modes and four Riding Modes: Sport, Touring, Urban and Wet.
- Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control and Ducati Power Launch.
- Cruise control and Quick Shift up/down 2.0.
- Hands-Free ignition and a 6.9-inch TFT display.
The US product page lists Turn-by-Turn navigation, but Ducati’s launch announcement describes navigation as available as an accessory. Because the sources characterize its status differently, confirm what is included on the specific market version and motorcycle being offered. What changed for passengers?
Compared with the XDiavel 1260, Ducati says the V4 has 1.3 in (25 mm) more rear suspension travel and thicker rider-seat foam. Ducati also describes the passenger seat as 30% wider and 50% roomier lengthways, with 0.9 in (25 mm) more thickness. What colors and service interval does Ducati list?
Ducati announced two model-exclusive metallic colors: Burning Red and Black Lava. Its US specification lists chain final drive and the tire sizes noted above. Ducati also publishes a 60,000 km (37,000 mile) valve-clearance check interval. When did it arrive, and what should buyers verify?
Ducati announced European dealer arrival from May 2025 and North American arrival in June 2025, with other markets to follow. Those were rollout dates, not confirmation of current stock. Current price and local availability are not established here.
- Ask a local Ducati dealer for current pricing, inventory and market-specific specifications.
- Check which equipment is standard and which items, including navigation or comfort accessories, are optional in your market.
- Confirm accessory compatibility for the exact XDiavel V4 and model year before ordering.
