There is no verified winner for the cheapest new V8 truck in the 2025 U.S. full-size pickup market based on the available published prices. The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 WT is a plausible low-cost candidate because Chevrolet lists it as an entry trim and offers a 5.3L V8, but the published starting-price range does not identify the price of that exact configuration. Ford confirms a 5.0L V8 for the 2025 F-150, but its cited material likewise does not give the least expensive V8 build price.
Why a base price does not answer the question
A truck’s starting MSRP usually describes a trim’s least expensive configuration, not necessarily a version equipped with an optional V8. A valid cheapest-V8 comparison needs the price of the engine-equipped truck, plus any required package and destination charge, and must account for cab, bed and drivetrain. Without those figures for each eligible model, ranking trucks by their advertised base MSRPs could produce the wrong answer.
The evidence here covers U.S. 2025 full-size pickups. Manufacturer pages establish which engines were available and provide some broad price or capability figures, but they do not provide a complete set of comparable as-configured V8 prices.

Chevrolet Silverado 1500: WT is a candidate, not a confirmed winner
Chevrolet identifies the WT as an entry trim and lists the 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 as available. Its 2025 Silverado page gives a starting MSRP range of $37,845 to $71,195 depending on trim, but does not state the price of a WT equipped with the V8. That range is therefore not a V8-specific quote and cannot establish that the WT is the cheapest. Chevrolet’s 2025 Silverado page

- EXPOSED DOHC V8 ARCHITECTURE: This model presents a V8 layout with two angled cylinder banks, four exposed overhead camshafts, dual timing-chain drives, a central intake section, and outward-facing exhaust headers. The open arrangement makes the major mechanical structures easy to identify before and during operation.
- PRECISION METAL CONSTRUCTION: Built from precision-cast and machined components in anodized aluminum and stainless steel. Defined surfaces, exposed fasteners, timing assemblies, and front pulleys reflect key structures found in modern V8 engine architecture while giving the completed model a detailed industrial finish.
- 500+ COMPONENT ASSEMBLY: Build the model from more than 500 labeled components, including precision metal parts, screws, and assembly hardware. Custom foam trays help organize and protect the parts, while the included tool set and full-color manual guide the approximately five-hour assembly process.
- MOTORIZED FOUR-STROKE MOTION: An electric motor concealed inside the starter housing drives the crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, and valvetrain through a four-stroke mechanical sequence. Viewing openings reveal the internal movement, while the exposed camshafts, timing chains, and belt-driven pulleys show how motion is transferred across the assembled engine.
- MECHANICAL DISPLAY FOR HOME OR OFFICE: Measuring approximately 7.80 × 6.69 × 7.09 inches when assembled, the DM118 combines visible mechanical motion with detailed metal construction. Intended for ages 14 and above, it is suited to model builders, automotive enthusiasts, engineering fans, and hobbyists for display in a home, office, study, studio, or workshop. A metal gift box is included.
Chevrolet lists Silverado towing from a minimum of 8,700 lb to an available maximum of 13,300 lb. The 13,300-lb maximum applies to a Double Cab Standard Bed with the available Duramax diesel, not a V8 configuration; neither figure should be treated as the towing rating of a WT V8 without checking the exact build.
Ford F-150: 5.0L V8 confirmed, but no lowest-build price
Ford lists a 5.0L V8 for the 2025 F-150 and offers Regular Cab, Super Cab and SuperCrew configurations. The cited model-year page does not provide the least expensive F-150 build with that engine, so it cannot be compared conclusively against a Silverado WT V8 price. Ford’s 2025 F-150 page

Ford reports maximum towing of 12,900 lb and maximum payload of 2,225 lb for the 5.0L V8. These are engine-specific maximums, not guaranteed ratings for every cab, axle, drivetrain or payload configuration. Verify the rating for the truck’s exact configuration and equipment before comparing work capability.
Toyota Tundra: not a V8 in the cited 2025 lineup
Toyota’s 2025 Tundra page describes the i-FORCE twin-turbo V6 and i-FORCE MAX twin-turbo V6 hybrid. It does not identify a V8 option, so the Tundra does not qualify as a V8 truck in this model-year comparison. Toyota’s 2025 Tundra page

Ram 1500: the cited RHO uses a straight-six
Stellantis’ announcement for the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO specifies a 3.0-liter Hurricane high-output inline-six rated at 540 hp and 521 lb-ft. It announced a starting price of $69,995 before a $1,995 destination charge. Those details apply to the RHO; they do not establish the engines or prices of every 2025 Ram trim. An Edmunds comparison syndicated by the Associated Press gives a $53,795 starting price for the 2025 Silverado Custom Trail Boss and a $66,810 starting price for the 2025 F-150 Tremor. It says the Trail Boss offers a 5.3-liter V8 and describes the Tremor as offering a 400-hp V8. These are trim starting prices, not confirmed prices for the V8-equipped versions, so they cannot settle which truck costs less with a V8. The comparison also says the 2025 Ram Rebel uses an inline-six rather than a V8. Edmunds comparison syndicated by AP

What to check before calling one the cheapest
For a reliable answer, compare actual 2025 V8 builds rather than trim names or base prices. Ask a manufacturer’s build-and-price tool or consult its official price sheet for the lowest-priced eligible configuration, then confirm the final MSRP and equipment on the window sticker.
- Confirm the V8 is available on the specific trim and whether it requires a package.
- Include destination and any mandatory package costs; distinguish MSRP from a dealer’s advertised price or local incentive.
- Record the cab, bed and two- or four-wheel-drive configuration so the compared trucks are clearly defined.
- Check towing and payload for that exact build instead of relying on an engine family’s maximum rating.
- For dealer offers or inventory, use dated, geographically specific listings; local discounts are not nationally comparable prices.
On the evidence available, the defensible conclusion is limited: the Silverado WT 5.3L V8 is a real, entry-trim candidate, and the F-150 5.0L V8 is another confirmed option, but the published figures do not establish which is the cheapest once each is configured with its V8.
