In the U.S. price snapshot published May 20, 2025, Tesla’s cheapest listed trims ranged from the Model 3 Long Range RWD at $42,490 to the Model X All-Wheel Drive at $84,990. These are dated base prices—not current quotes or proof of each model’s lowest price during all of 2025.

The figures below are base prices reported from Tesla’s U.S. website by Electrek on May 20, 2025. They compare each model line’s lowest listed trim in that snapshot.

Electrek’s May 20, 2025 report says its figures reflect Tesla’s website on that date and cautions that prices change frequently. The Model 3 Long Range RWD was the lowest-priced entry across the five lines in that snapshot.
What the May 2025 Model Y price included
The Model Y Long Range RWD had launched in May. Tesla’s Q2 2025 update describes it as offering 357 miles of range and a starting price under $45,000 before incentives. Electrek’s May 20 price table gives the precise listed base price of $44,990. The range is Tesla’s trim-level launch figure, not a guarantee of what a particular driver will achieve.

Base price is not the final purchase cost
The table compares listed base prices for standard configurations; it does not add optional equipment, incentives, or fees. Tesla says destination fees apply to new vehicle orders, are non-negotiable, and cover shipping to the delivery location. Taxes and registration fees are calculated from order details. Tesla also notes that lease availability depends on state and that financing is contingent on credit approval. For a purchase decision, check Tesla’s local configurator and final order documents. The amount can vary with destination charges, taxes, registration, selected options, and any incentive eligibility; the May snapshot does not establish what a buyer qualifies for.

This is a May 20, 2025 U.S. snapshot, not a month-by-month history of Tesla pricing through December. Tesla’s Q2 update also said it was preparing additional models, underscoring that the lineup was evolving during the year.
