There is no reliable, current public inventory confirming which cars Scarlett Johansson personally owns. The BMW X3 and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé associated with Black Widow were film vehicles, not evidence of her private collection. Some outlets have reported personal-car models, but the claims reviewed are secondhand or speculative.
What is known about Scarlett Johansson’s personal cars?
The available reporting does not establish a definitive list of cars Johansson owns today. A vehicle she drives as Natasha Romanoff, or one she arrives in at an event, cannot by itself confirm personal ownership.
Robb Report en Español’s July 2021 article distinguishes the BMW X3 in Black Widow from Johansson’s personal vehicle. It mentions reports linking her to an Audi Q5 and a broader preference for German cars, but offers no direct confirmation from Johansson. Treat those models as unverified reporting, not a confirmed collection.
A November 2024 VIPFortunes article lists a Mercedes-Benz V-Class Viano, Mini Cooper JCW, Audi Q5 and other Mercedes-Benz models. Its Viano discussion says the outlet believes Johansson has security personnel and speculates that she “must have had” a Viano. That language does not establish ownership, and the article should not be read as a verified, up-to-date garage inventory.

Which cars appeared in Black Widow?
BMW Group’s June 25, 2021 media information identifies the BMW X3 and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé as vehicles featured in the film. The X3 made its Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Black Widow. These are cars used in the production, not confirmed personal cars owned by Johansson.
BMW X3: the Budapest chase
In a July 16, 2021 behind-the-scenes report, Top Gear reported that 13 BMW X3s were used or sacrificed for the Budapest chase sequence. It also reported that the main stunt cars had their electronic handbrakes replaced with hydraulically actuated handbrakes. Those modifications served the stunt work; they do not describe standard retail X3 equipment.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé and the brand partnership
BMW’s 2021 media information also names the 2 Series Gran Coupé as a film vehicle. In the same promotional material, Mindy Hamilton, then Senior Vice President of Partnership Marketing at The Walt Disney Company, said: “There is no better vehicle to take us on Natasha’s journey as she sorts her past then a BMW.” This was a partnership statement, not an ownership claim about Johansson.
BMW said original vehicles from the film were displayed at BMW Welt in Munich around the movie’s 2021 release. That is a dated exhibition report; it does not establish whether the cars are currently on display.

What car does Black Widow drive?
In a GamesRadar+ interview about Natasha’s on-screen style and character design, Johansson said, “we decided she definitely drives a black Corvette.” The context makes this a detail about the fictional Natasha, not Johansson’s own garage.
How to read claims about celebrity car collections
For this topic, the key distinction is whether a source confirms ownership or merely connects a person to a model. A character’s car, a vehicle used on a film set, and a car seen at an event are not interchangeable with a verified personal vehicle.
- Confirmed film vehicle: BMW identifies the X3 and 2 Series Gran Coupé as cars featured in Black Widow.
- Production detail: Top Gear’s report about 13 X3s and stunt-car handbrakes concerns filming the Budapest chase.
- Unverified personal-car report: The Audi Q5 and other models mentioned by celebrity-car articles are not directly confirmed by Johansson in the sources cited here.
- Fictional character car: The black Corvette is described as Natasha’s car in a discussion of character design.
