The Arcfox GT was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show as a high-performance electric-car project from BAIC’s Arcfox brand. Its headline 1,600-hp figure belongs to the GT Street Edition; the separately specified Race Edition was listed at 1,000 hp, with a different motor layout. The available sources document the car’s debut and development, but do not establish that it reached series production or went on sale.
What is the Arcfox GT?
The Arcfox GT is an all-electric hypercar project presented by Arcfox, BAIC’s premium electric-vehicle brand. BAIC said the brand made its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show on 5 March 2019, displaying the GT Race and Street editions alongside the ECF concept. BAIC’s announcement describes the GT as originating at its high-performance vehicle research and development center in Spain.

The name covers two announced configurations rather than a single specification. Arcfox’s published figures give the Street Edition four motors and 1,200 kW (1,600 hp), while the Race Edition has six motors and 750 kW (1,000 hp). Those are manufacturer-listed specifications, not independently verified performance results. Arcfox’s GT specification page is the source for the variant figures.

Arcfox lists both variants as all-wheel drive, with a claimed 0–100 km/h time of 2.59 seconds. The table keeps the editions’ differing motor layouts and range information separate.

Arcfox does not identify an independent test for the acceleration, speed, mass or range claims on the cited page. The Street Edition’s range is explicitly an NEDC figure; the Race Edition has no range figure listed there, which is not evidence of zero range.
How the GT project was developed
BAIC’s announcement identifies a Spanish high-performance R&D center as the GT’s origin. QEV Technologies also documents a role in the project: its Arcfox GT project page describes a four-engine, 1,600-hp car and repeats the 2.59-second 0–100 km/h claim. In a March 2019 announcement, QEV said BAIC BJEV had entrusted it with development and production of the Arcfox GT and Race Edition: QEV’s project announcement.

BAIC separately described the Race Edition as having six motors, liquid-cooled high-performance batteries and a carbon-fiber body. That supports the Race version’s distinct configuration; it should not be used to describe the Street Edition’s powertrain or body construction.

The cited material confirms a public unveiling and project-development activity, but does not establish that the GT entered series production, reached customer deliveries, or became available for sale. QEV’s reference to production in its project announcement documents the scope entrusted to the company; by itself, it does not confirm that a retail production run took place. The car’s eventual production and sales status therefore remains unresolved in these sources.
