For the 2025 model year in the United States, Genesis offered the G90 3.5T E-Supercharger AWD: a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 augmented by a 48-volt electric supercharger. Genesis’s 2024 U.S. specification sheet lists output at 409 hp and 405 lb-ft. The available evidence confirms this G90 configuration, but does not establish that it was the last supercharged V6 sedan on sale worldwide in 2025.
What powertrain did the 2025 U.S. Genesis G90 offer?
The U.S. 2025 G90 lineup included a standard 3.5T AWD and a 3.5T E-Supercharger AWD. Both use a 3.5-liter V6 with twin turbochargers; the E-Supercharger version adds a 48-volt electric supercharger. Edmunds’ 2025 U.S. trim listing identifies the E-Supercharger model, while Genesis’s U.S. feature sheet published in 2024 describes the powertrain and gives its specifications.
Genesis lists the e-supercharged configuration at 409 hp and 405 lb-ft on that 2024 U.S. sheet. Those are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test results, and the sheet’s publication year should not be mistaken for the model year. Genesis’s 2024 U.S. G90 feature sheet and Edmunds’ 2025 U.S. trim reference document the separate specification and model-year details.
What does “E-Supercharger” mean?
The name refers to an electric supercharger operating on a 48-volt system. It is an additional device in a powertrain that already has twin turbochargers. It should not be described as a conventional, mechanically driven supercharger, nor should it be confused with either of the two turbos.

Genesis’s launch material uses the term “48V e-Supercharger” for the G90 powertrain and notes that specifications and features can vary by market. Genesis’s G90 launch information supports the terminology; regional details should not be assumed to match the U.S. version.
Was it really the last supercharged V6 sedan on sale in 2025?
That absolute claim is not established. The available sources confirm that a 2025 G90 e-supercharged trim was listed in the U.S. and describe related configurations in other markets, but they do not provide a comprehensive inventory of new sedans sold worldwide in 2025. A defensible “last” claim would need to define the market, clarify whether “on sale” means offered new by a manufacturer, and decide whether electric superchargers count alongside mechanically driven ones.

For example, Genesis announced a Korea-market G90 Long Wheel Base Black on March 5, 2025, with a 3.5 turbo gasoline engine, 48-volt electric supercharger, and all-wheel drive. That announcement is specific to that Korean trim; it is not a census of competing sedans. Genesis’s Korean-market announcement establishes those details, not a worldwide “last” ranking.

The distinction is the additional electric supercharger, not a switch from turbocharging to supercharging. Genesis’s current U.S. product page, which is for the 2026 model, continues to describe an available 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with a 48-volt e-supercharger.
