The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD pairs 815 horsepower with an original U.S. launch MSRP of approximately $300,000 before taxes, title, and license. Ford also reports two Nürburgring Nordschleife times from different events: 6:57.685 in its 2025 report and a later 6:40.835 in its current GTD FAQ. The price is launch context, not a current transaction quote, and Ford says that making an inquiry does not guarantee a chance to buy one.
How much horsepower does the 2025 Mustang GTD have?
Ford specifies 815 hp (599 kW) at 7,400 rpm and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque at 4,500 rpm. The 2025 owner’s manual lists a 5,163 cc (315 cu in), 90-degree V8 with a 9.5:1 compression ratio, an intercooled supercharger and a 7,650-rpm redline. Ford’s September 16, 2024 performance announcement describes it as a supercharged 5.2-liter V8; the manual’s displacement is the more exact figure.
The manual also lists a high-flow exhaust with an X-pipe and active valves. Ford stated a top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h) in its 2024 announcement. These are manufacturer specifications, not independently measured results.
Why does Ford charge about $300,000?
Ford’s 2023 launch announcement said U.S. pricing was expected to start at approximately $300,000 MSRP, with taxes, title and license fees extra. That is the manufacturer’s original launch-price statement; it does not establish today’s dealer asking price, a completed transaction price, or what a buyer can pay now.

Ford presents the GTD as a limited-production, track-focused Mustang and highlights equipment including active aerodynamics, carbon-ceramic brakes, and inboard rear suspension with semi-active dampers. Those features help explain the car’s performance intent, but the available manufacturer information does not quantify how much any one feature contributes to a lap time or establish a direct performance ranking against specific rivals.
Can you actually buy a Mustang GTD?
Ford described production as limited and warned that an inquiry does not guarantee the ability to purchase. No current U.S. allocation, inventory, or transaction-price information is established here, so the launch MSRP should not be treated as proof of current availability or an offer to buy at that figure. A prospective buyer would need to check directly with Ford or a dealer for current access and pricing.

What is the Mustang GTD Nürburgring time?
It depends on which Ford-reported run you mean. Ford’s 2025 report gives a 6:57.685 Nordschleife lap driven by Multimatic Motorsports driver Dirk Müller. Ford’s current GTD FAQ lists a later time of 6:40.835. These are separate reported events; the later figure should not be attributed to the original 2025 run.
Ford characterized the 2025 lap as the first time an American-brand vehicle completed a Nordschleife lap in under seven minutes. Both lap times are Ford-reported figures; the information presented here does not establish independent verification or provide a like-for-like comparison with other cars.

What the headline numbers do—and do not—tell you
The GTD’s 815 hp, 664 lb-ft and stated 202-mph top speed describe formidable factory specifications. Its launch price and limited-production status make access a separate question from performance: Ford’s original MSRP is not a current quote, and an inquiry is not a purchase guarantee. For the Nürburgring, the date matters as much as the time because Ford lists two different results.
Ford Chief Program Engineer Greg Goodall described the engine as “packing more horsepower per liter than the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.” That is Goodall’s manufacturer statement, not an independent comparative test.
