Compared with the 2024 model, the launch-era 2025 Ford Bronco Sport MSRP rose by roughly $2,000 on some trims, but the increase varied from $1,170 to $2,960. A separate price adjustment took effect May 2, 2025, raising prices by as much as $2,000 on some vehicles. Those are two different changes, and neither means every 2025 Bronco Sport cost exactly $2,000 more.
How much more did the 2025 Bronco Sport cost than the 2024?
MotorTrend’s launch-era U.S. comparison reported these 2025 MSRPs, including destination and delivery, and the differences from 2024:
| 2025 trim | 2025 MSRP including destination and delivery | Increase versus 2024 |
|---|---|---|
| Big Bend | $32,990 | $1,600 |
| Free Wheeling | $35,130 | $1,170 |
| Heritage | $35,990 | $2,000 |
| Outer Banks | $38,490 | $2,960 |
| Badlands | $42,110 | $2,125 |
The Heritage trim matches the $2,000 shorthand exactly; Badlands was $2,125 higher. Outer Banks had the largest increase in this comparison, while Free Wheeling had the smallest. These are launch-era model-year MSRP comparisons, not estimates of what a buyer paid after options, incentives, or dealer charges.
Did Ford raise every Bronco Sport by $2,000 in May 2025?
No. The May change was separate from the model-year comparison above. Reuters reported that Ford prices on some Bronco Sport, Maverick, and Mustang Mach-E models increased by as much as $2,000, effective May 2, 2025. The report, republished by Bloomberg, said the adjustment applied to vehicles built after May 2; the model year alone does not establish whether a particular vehicle was affected. See Bloomberg’s May 7, 2025 report.

Bloomberg attributed this explanation to a Ford spokesperson: “A Ford spokesman confirmed the increases, saying they reflect a combination of typical mid-year pricing adjustments and some impact from tariffs.” The spokesperson was not identified by name. The report does not establish that tariffs alone caused the May adjustment, or that every Bronco Sport received the maximum increase.
What changed on the 2025 Bronco Sport?
Ford’s model-year overview describes an exterior refresh and larger displays: a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 13.2-inch center-stack screen. Ford also says SYNC 4, SiriusXM with 360L, wireless charging, and Co-Pilot360 Assist+ became standard across the models described in that overview. The 2025 order guide lists Big Bend, Heritage, Outer Banks, and Badlands, and documents new package offerings including Black Diamond and Sasquatch. These changes provide context for the new model year; the available sources do not assign a dollar amount of the MSRP increase to any one feature.

How to compare a Bronco Sport price or dealer quote
A historical MSRP comparison and a current offer answer different questions. To compare two vehicles or quotes fairly, match the details that affect the price:
- Match model year and trim. A 2024 Big Bend and a 2025 Outer Banks are not a like-for-like price comparison.
- Check the price field and destination. Distinguish base MSRP from total MSRP, and confirm whether destination and delivery are included. Ford’s pricing disclosures distinguish these fields; taxes, title and license, and dealer charges may be excluded, and Ford says prices and destination/delivery charges can change. See Ford’s 2024 Bronco Sport pricing and MSRP disclosures.
- Compare equipment and options. Account for selected packages, options, and dealer-installed items rather than treating trim names as the whole specification.
- For a 2025 vehicle, check its build date. The reported May adjustment concerned vehicles built after May 2, 2025. Check the window sticker and ask the dealer how the price was set for that specific vehicle.
- Apply incentives and eligibility. Incentives can lower the amount a buyer pays, and eligibility may differ between offers.
- Compare the out-the-door total. Ask for dealer add-ons, fees, taxes, and other charges to be itemized so the final amount can be compared directly.
Ford’s currently displayed U.S. build-and-price starting prices are $31,695 for Big Bend, $33,995 for Heritage, $36,795 for Outer Banks, and $40,115 for Badlands. These are current listed starting prices accessed in 2026, not the historical 2025-versus-2024 comparison; the page no longer lists Free Wheeling. Check Ford’s Bronco Sport models and build-and-price page for its current listings.
