There is no defensible, like-for-like list of the 10 most expensive Maseratis in the available published figures: current U.S. starting prices, bespoke editions and auction results measure different things. For model year 2027, Maserati’s published U.S. prices put the GranCabrio Trofeo at the top of the variants with a stated MSRP, at $176,200. The largest documented figure here is in a separate category: Maserati reported that a 2005 MC12 Stradale sold for $5.2 million at auction in 2025.
Which Maserati is the most expensive?
It depends on what “expensive” means. Among the MY27 U.S. variants with published starting prices listed below, the GranCabrio Trofeo is highest at $176,200. The MCPURA and MCPURA Cielo sit at the top of Maserati’s current range, but the retrieved U.S. configurator listing does not state their starting prices, so their positions by price cannot be established from that listing. In the collector market, Maserati reported a $5.2 million auction sale for a 2005 MC12 Stradale.
Those figures cannot be combined into one ranking: the first is a new-car starting MSRP, while the second is a reported price paid for a rare used car at auction. Neither establishes a complete top ten across all Maserati models, special editions and historic sales.
2027 U.S. Maserati starting prices
The following are Maserati’s published “from” prices for the U.S. market, model year 2027. They are starting MSRPs, not transaction prices; optional equipment can change a configured car’s price. The figures cover only variants with a price shown in the retrieved lineup and configurator listings.

| Variant | MY27 U.S. starting MSRP |
|---|---|
| GranCabrio Trofeo | $176,200 |
| GranTurismo Trofeo | $166,000 |
| GranCabrio | $158,000 |
| GranCabrio Folgore | $150,200 |
| GranTurismo | $147,900 |
| GranTurismo Folgore | $140,000 |
| Grecale V6 | $115,500 |
| Grecale Folgore | $97,000 |
These eight entries are not a Maserati-wide top ten. Maserati’s live U.S. configurator lists MCPURA, MCPURA Cielo and GT2 Stradale without a starting price in the retrieved listing, and the sports-lineup prices do not establish where every SUV or special edition would rank. Because the configurator is live, check its current figures before relying on them.
What is the most expensive Maserati ever sold?
Maserati said a 2005 MC12 Stradale sold for $5.2 million at Broad Arrow’s Monterey Jet Center Auction on August 13, 2025. In a corporate release dated September 1, 2025, the company called it “the most expensive modern Maserati ever sold.” That is Maserati’s characterization of a modern-car auction record, not an all-time record across every Maserati and not a new-car MSRP.

- The Hot Wheels Premium 2004 Maserati MC12 is available exclusively in this set and is not available outside this set of 2.
Maserati says 50 MC12 Stradale examples were produced: 25 in 2004 and 25 in 2005. The company also said the 2025 result exceeded the model’s previous record by 37 percent, but its release did not state the earlier sale’s absolute price.
Why a top-ten list would be misleading
A single ranked list would require comparable figures on the same basis. A starting MSRP does not include the effect of options or represent a completed sale; a bespoke or limited-series car may have a different price basis; and an auction result reflects a specific car sold at a specific time and venue. Maserati’s special-series page identifies editions such as MCPURA Cielo Frozen Magma and GranTurismo 110 Anniversario, but the retrieved page content does not provide comparable prices for them.

- For a new-car comparison: use dated prices for the same market and model year, and label them as starting MSRPs.
- For special editions: distinguish a limited-series or bespoke specification from a regular production trim, and do not infer a price where one is not published.
- For collector cars: identify the sale date and venue, and keep auction results separate from new-car prices.
