Tesla’s official materials confirm active programs for Cybercab and Semi, and an official Roadster page, but they do not establish a definitive list of exactly three upcoming EVs. The clearest picture is to separate what Tesla has said about each vehicle from what remains unconfirmed: Cybercab production-line installation has begun, the Semi has been in early production and delivery since 2022, and the Roadster page does not verify a current delivery date.
Does Tesla confirm exactly three EVs in its pipeline?
No. The company’s available official materials do not identify a single, definitive trio matching the headline. Cybercab, Semi and Roadster are relevant Tesla vehicle programs, but that does not establish that Tesla itself presents them as the three vehicles in a specific pipeline announcement.
There is also an important difference between a vehicle program, a production milestone and a forecast. Tesla’s statements about future volume production describe plans, not proof that those ramps have occurred. The available sources support the following distinctions:
| Vehicle | Purpose | What Tesla’s sources establish | Timing evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cybercab | Purpose-built Robotaxi | Tesla says it plans mass production and reported that production-line installation had begun. | Tesla’s Q2 2025 update projected volume production in 2026; this was a dated outlook, not confirmation of a completed ramp. |
| Semi | Commercial electric freight vehicle | Tesla says early production and deliveries began in 2022. | Tesla’s Q2 2025 update projected volume production in 2026, and its product page says deliveries start in 2026. These are plans, not evidence that the planned volume ramp has been completed. |
| Roadster | Sports car | Tesla maintains an official Roadster page. | The retrieved official page does not establish a current delivery date. |
What is confirmed about Cybercab?
Tesla describes Cybercab as a purpose-built Robotaxi and says it plans to mass-produce the vehicle. In its FY2025 update, the company said installation of Cybercab production lines had begun. That is evidence of a production program moving forward, but it is not evidence that mass production has started.

Cybercab also has an active regulatory issue. On September 4, 2026, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced an Audit Query into Tesla’s Cybercab self-certification following commercial driverless deployment in Austin. NHTSA said it will evaluate the technical data and processes behind Tesla’s compliance position, including requirements for a vehicle without traditional human controls. The agency said existing standards remain in force during the review. The query is an ongoing review, not a finding that the vehicle is either compliant or noncompliant.
NHTSA Administrator Jonathan Morrison said, “NHTSA fully supports the safe development and deployment of automated vehicles. But as the federal regulator, we need to ensure that all of our laws are followed.” Read NHTSA’s September 4, 2026 announcement.

Is the Tesla Semi a new, unproduced vehicle?
No. Tesla’s FY2025 Form 10-K says: “In 2022, we also began early production and deliveries of a commercial electric vehicle, the Tesla Semi.” That means the Semi should not be described as a program awaiting its first production or delivery. The distinction is between that early production and delivery history and Tesla’s later plans for volume production.
Tesla’s Q2 2025 update projected Semi volume production in 2026. Its Semi product page also says deliveries start in 2026 and invites fleet buyers to request ordering information. Those dated statements describe the company’s outlook; they do not establish that volume production or broad customer deliveries have since begun. See Tesla’s Semi page.

What is known about a new Tesla Roadster?
Tesla has an official Roadster page, but the page text available here does not provide a verifiable current delivery date or sufficiently readable current specifications to establish a launch schedule. A page for the vehicle is not, by itself, confirmation of when deliveries will begin. No current Tesla commitment on a delivery date can be confirmed from that page. See Tesla’s Roadster page.

For these vehicles, the most useful distinction is between what has happened and what Tesla expects to happen. An installation milestone or a company forecast should not be rewritten as a completed production ramp or a confirmed delivery date.

- Completed milestone: Tesla says early Semi production and deliveries began in 2022.
- Work in progress: Tesla reported that Cybercab production-line installation had begun in its FY2025 update.
- Dated forecast: Tesla’s Q2 2025 update projected volume production for Cybercab and Semi in 2026.
- Unverified schedule: The retrieved Roadster page does not establish a current delivery date.
Tesla’s FY2025 filing also warns that vehicle development, launches and production ramps can be delayed. For the Cybercab, the separate NHTSA self-certification review is an additional regulatory consideration; it should not be confused with proof of a production delay or a final compliance decision.
