The “0% APR” Cybertruck headline refers to a Tesla financing offer reported on June 6, 2025—not an offer confirmed as available today. Tesla’s U.S. offers page, accessed October 4, 2026, lists a promotional lease, not 0% APR financing. The accompanying claim that it was the “biggest discount ever” is not established by a complete historical comparison of Cybertruck prices and incentives.
Was Tesla’s Cybertruck 0% APR offer real?
A June 6, 2025 Neowin report described Tesla offering interest-free financing to U.S. Cybertruck buyers. That supports the headline’s broad claim as a report about an offer at that time. The report’s page could not be accessed, however, so its exact loan term, eligibility rules, order deadline, and delivery conditions are not verified. The headline is historical; it does not confirm that buyers can still get 0% APR.
What Cybertruck offer does Tesla list now?
Tesla’s U.S. current-offers page, accessed October 4, 2026, displays a promotional lease based on a Cybertruck Premium All-Wheel Drive with a starting purchase price of $87,235, including Order and Destination fees. The displayed lease terms are:
- $5,000 down and a 36-month lease.
- 10,000 miles per year and a $695 acquisition fee.
- $0.25 per mile for mileage over the allowance.
- Credit approval; the lease is available only in select states.
- Applications must be submitted after August 24, 2026.
The $87,235 figure is the lease’s stated starting-price basis, not the lease’s total cost. Tesla says pricing is before incentives, estimated gas savings, taxes, and other fees and is subject to change. Maintenance and insurance are excluded; late-payment and excessive-wear fees may apply. These are lease terms, not a 0% APR loan offer. See Tesla’s current offers.

Does “biggest discount ever” hold up?
The available sources do not establish that the 2025 financing promotion was Tesla’s biggest Cybertruck discount ever. A reliable superlative would require a complete comparison of historical prices, cash incentives, and financing offers; that comparison is not available here. A low APR can lower financing costs without reducing the vehicle’s sticker price, so it should not automatically be treated as the largest price cut.
For context, Car and Driver’s September 2026 deals page displayed $12,000 cash back and APR offers from 5.59% to 6.65%, with the listed APR offers expiring September 30, 2026. Those rates had expired by October 4, 2026, and the cash-back item should be confirmed with Tesla before relying on it. This dated third-party snapshot does not establish a current offer or a historical record. Check the dated deal listing.

How to compare Cybertruck financing and lease offers
Compare offers on the same configuration and use confirmed terms rather than a headline rate. A zero-percent loan and a lease are different transactions; compare the cost and restrictions relevant to how you intend to use the vehicle.
- Purchase price: Compare the cash price after incentives Tesla has confirmed you qualify for.
- Loan cost: Check APR, term, required down payment, and the total amount paid over the loan—not just the monthly payment.
- Lease limits: Account for the term, annual mileage allowance, acquisition and other fees, and mileage or wear charges.
- Eligibility and timing: Confirm credit requirements, state availability, application and order deadlines, and delivery conditions directly with Tesla.
- Benefit type: Distinguish a rebate or point-of-sale reduction from a tax deduction. A deduction does not necessarily reduce the amount due at purchase.
What tax incentives should buyers check?
Tesla says state and local vehicle incentives can change or end at any time and advises shoppers to confirm availability, eligibility, and redemption rules with the sponsoring entity. Its incentives page states that the Inflation Reduction Act ended as of September 30, 2025.

The same Tesla page, accessed October 4, 2026, describes a possible deduction of up to $10,000 on qualifying new-vehicle loan interest for eligible personal-use purchases in a specified date window. Vehicle, assembly, weight, income phase-out, and other requirements apply. Tesla does not guarantee that a buyer or vehicle qualifies. Check current rules with the IRS and consult a tax professional; do not treat the potential deduction as an automatic Cybertruck discount. Review Tesla’s incentives information.
