Tesla’s Model Y L is a six-seat, three-row, longer-wheelbase version of the Model Y. Tesla announced it in China in August 2025, and nationwide deliveries were reported underway by September 2, 2025. Tesla China’s page reviewed on October 8, 2026, lists the Model Y L at RMB 339,000.
When did Model Y L deliveries start in China?
Tesla launched the Model Y L in China on August 19, 2025, with deliveries initially expected in September. CnEVPost reported on September 2 that nationwide deliveries had officially begun, so the careful milestone is that deliveries were underway by that date. Tesla’s Q3 2025 investor update later confirmed the launch in China.

What is different about the Model Y L?
Tesla describes the Model Y L as a longer-wheelbase Model Y with six seats arranged across three rows. That seating layout and longer cabin distinguish it from the five-seat Model Y variants also listed by Tesla in China. Tesla’s Q3 2025 investor update characterizes it as an expansion of the company’s China product portfolio.

The available information here does not establish third-row comfort, real-world range, battery specifications or comparative cargo capacity. Those details should not be inferred from the seating layout alone.
What is the Model Y L price in China?
The launch price reported in August 2025 was RMB 339,000. Tesla China’s live configuration page, reviewed on October 8, 2026, also listed the Model Y L at RMB 339,000.
