The current U.S. specifications list the Tesla Model S at 410 miles of EPA-estimated range, 3.1 seconds from 0–60 mph and 670 hp. The Model S Plaid is quicker and more powerful, with 368 miles of EPA-estimated range, a 1.99-second 0–60 mph time and 1,020 hp. Tesla says the Model S is no longer in production, so buyers are looking at used inventory rather than a current new-car MSRP.

How quick is the Model S 0–60?
Model S
Tesla lists the dual-motor Model S at 3.1 seconds from 0–60 mph. The figure is a manufacturer specification with rollout subtracted, rather than an independently measured result.
Model S Plaid
The tri-motor Plaid is listed at 1.99 seconds from 0–60 mph, also with rollout subtracted. Tesla additionally lists a 9.23-second quarter mile at 155 mph trap speed. Those figures describe different measures of acceleration; the quarter-mile result is not another 0–60 time.

What range does a Model S get?
Tesla’s current U.S. page lists 410 miles of EPA-estimated range for the Model S and 368 miles for the Plaid. The estimates are not a promise of distance on every charge: driving conditions affect actual range. These are U.S. EPA figures and should not be compared directly with figures published for other markets using a different test cycle.
What is the Model S price?
Tesla states that the Model S is no longer in production and directs shoppers to inventory. There is no current new-car MSRP to quote from that page; used asking prices depend on the particular car and can change as listings sell or are updated. Tesla’s U.S. Model S page.

What else matters for ownership?
Charging and cargo
Tesla lists the Plaid’s maximum Supercharging rate at 250 kW and cargo volume at 28 cubic feet. A maximum charging rate is not a guarantee that every charging session will reach that power. Tesla describes home charging as an ownership option and says its trip planner can route drivers to Supercharging stops. Home charging equipment and installation depend on the specific vehicle, property and setup.
Warranty coverage
Tesla’s U.S. page lists a basic vehicle warranty of four years or 50,000 miles and a battery and drive unit warranty of eight years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first. Coverage remaining on a used car depends on its specific model year, mileage and terms; verify the vehicle’s warranty documents before purchase. See the Tesla Model S owner’s manual.

Which version should you compare?
The Plaid prioritizes acceleration and power, while the standard Model S has the longer EPA-estimated range of the two listed versions. A used-car decision also depends on the individual vehicle, not only its trim name. Compare the year, odometer reading, condition, asking price, equipment and warranty coverage alongside the specifications.
