No—not as general U.S. offers listed by Tesla. Tesla says its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) transfer program ended March 31, 2026, and its public Current Offers page does not list a $2,000 Model Y discount for legacy owners. A separate trade-in benefit offers qualifying customers 2,000 free Supercharging miles; that is charging credit, not $2,000 off a vehicle.
Can you still transfer FSD to a new Tesla?
No, not through Tesla’s general U.S. transfer program. Tesla Support states: “The Full Self-Driving (Supervised) Transfer Program ended on March 31, 2026.” Its support answer to whether FSD can be transferred to another account or vehicle is no. Tesla’s FSD transfer support page also notes that a used vehicle’s included FSD status can depend on the previous owner’s purchase or subscription status.
That end date means the program should not be treated as an active, generally available transfer offer. For a particular vehicle or account, check Tesla’s live terms and the details shown for the order before relying on any transfer.
Is Tesla offering $2,000 off a Model Y for legacy owners?
The public U.S. Current Offers page reviewed for this article does not list a $2,000 Model Y discount for legacy owners. That finding applies to the public page, not necessarily to every regional promotion or account-specific offer; Tesla’s listed offers can change or end.

Tesla’s page lists other benefits, including a $99-per-month FSD (Supervised) subscription with a free 30-day trial and $500 off for eligible military members, first responders, healthcare workers, teachers, and students. Those are distinct offers with their own eligibility terms, not evidence of a $2,000 legacy-owner Model Y discount.
What is the 2,000-mile Supercharging benefit?
Tesla describes a separate benefit for customers who trade in an eligible gas or hybrid vehicle toward a new Tesla. Tesla Support says: “Starting October 30, 2025, when you trade in your gas or hybrid vehicle for a new Tesla vehicle, you will receive 2,000 miles of free Supercharging.” This is a mileage-based charging benefit, not a $2,000 reduction in the vehicle’s purchase price. - Open Tesla’s Current Offers page for the market where you will place the order.
- Check your Tesla account and the specific order terms for any account-specific incentive. Confirm the vehicle, trade-in, order, and delivery requirements directly with Tesla.
- For FSD, review Tesla’s transfer support page; do not assume a prior purchase can be moved to a new vehicle.
- Before committing, confirm the offer’s expiration, eligibility, and whether it is a purchase-price discount or another benefit, such as Supercharging miles.
The public U.S. pages checked on October 8, 2026, do not establish a currently available general FSD transfer or a $2,000 legacy-owner Model Y discount. Offers may vary by region or customer account, so the live terms for the intended order are decisive.
