Tesla’s April 2024 Cybertruck wrap expansion added Forest Green, Satin Crimson Red, Iridescent Purple, Tactical Green, Satin Dark Grey, and Copper Tinted Clear. At the time, each new color was reported at US$6,500. Those are historical figures, not a current quote: a later September 2026 report described a Cybertruck wrap relaunch at US$4,500 but did not confirm the color menu.
Which six colors did Tesla add?
Collision Repair Mag reported on April 2, 2024, that Tesla added six colors and brought the consumer wrap menu to eleven options. The six additions were:
- Forest Green
- Satin Crimson Red
- Iridescent Purple
- Tactical Green
- Satin Dark Grey
- Copper Tinted Clear
The names and eleven-color total describe the menu reported in 2024; they should not be read as confirmation of Tesla’s current selection. Collision Repair Mag’s April 2024 report
What kind of wrap was it?
The wraps were described as colored paint protection film (PPF), rather than traditional vinyl or a repaint. Collision Repair Mag attributed to Tesla the claim that its PPF was twice as thick as vinyl and offered added protection from scratches, door dings, and debris. What did Cybertruck wraps cost?
In the 2024 report, each of the six newly added colors was priced at US$6,500. Slip Grey, Satin Stealth Black, and Satin Ceramic White were reported at US$6,000 each. Those figures are historical reported prices, not current Tesla quotes. Collision Repair Mag, April 2, 2024
Drive Tesla reported on September 11, 2026, that Tesla had restored Cybertruck wraps after removing them from its online shop the previous month, with a listed price of US$4,500. That is a later reported listing price, not a guarantee of today’s price or local availability. How to check whether a wrap is available for your truck
- Check Tesla’s current local service listing. The 2024 report said wraps were available only at select U.S. Service Centers, and later availability may have changed. - Separate the digital Paint Shop from physical installation. Tesla’s Cybertruck Owner’s Manual describes using Paint Shop on the touchscreen to change the displayed exterior color and add custom wraps from a USB drive. - For aftermarket film, verify the actual product and installer. A specialist supplier advertises Cybertruck color-change wraps and an installer locator. Ask whether the material is PPF or vinyl, whether the installer works with the Cybertruck, what finishes are actually available, and what the installed quote and warranty cover. Supplier claims about self-healing, hydrophobic behavior, corrosion protection, or warranty are the supplier’s claims; check their terms rather than treating them as independent guarantees. What to compare before choosing a wrap
- Material: colored PPF and vinyl are different products; confirm which one is being quoted.
- Installed price: compare the full installed quote, not a historical Tesla price or a film-only price.
- Color and finish: ask for the current local color list and clarify whether a sample, image, or displayed Paint Shop color represents the physical film.
- Installer and fit: confirm local access and experience with Cybertruck-specific fitment.
- Protection and warranty: request written coverage terms and distinguish a seller’s claims from independently verified performance.
No single material or provider is a universal winner on the available information; the right comparison depends on the actual product, installation, price, and written terms available to you.
