Tesla began inviting Canadian reservation holders to configure the Cybertruck on August 8, 2024. At launch, reported prices for the Foundation Series were C$137,990 for the AWD and C$165,990 for the Cyberbeast, before taxes and fees. Those are historical launch prices—not verified current Canadian prices.

Tesla started inviting Canadian reservation holders to place orders on August 8, 2024. The launch announcement covered the two Foundation Series trims and anticipated deliveries in October–November 2024, according to Drive Tesla’s report. The Car Guide later reported that Canadian deliveries had begun in October, listing the same MSRP figures before applicable charges.
How did Canadian prices change after launch?
In a February 3, 2025 report, Drive Tesla listed lower prices for standard-production, non-Foundation trims and higher totals for Foundation Series versions after certain equipment was charged separately:

| Trim/package | Reported Canadian price | When and what it represents |
|---|---|---|
| AWD, non-Foundation | C$114,990 | February 2025 reported price. Drive Tesla Canada |
| Cyberbeast, non-Foundation | C$142,990 | February 2025 reported price. Drive Tesla Canada |
| AWD Foundation Series | C$153,990 | February 2025 reported total after separate charges for 20-inch Cyber Wheels and Full Self-Driving, which had previously been included in the package. Drive Tesla Canada |
| Cyberbeast Foundation Series | C$181,990 | February 2025 reported total after separate charges for 20-inch Cyber Wheels and Full Self-Driving, which had previously been included in the package. Drive Tesla Canada |
The lower non-Foundation prices and the Foundation Series totals are dated report figures, not present-day quotes. They also show why comparing Cybertruck prices requires checking both the trim and the equipment included in its price.
Does the listed price include tax and fees?
No. Tesla’s Canadian pre-order agreement says the configuration price shown before a final price sheet is an estimate that may change. It excludes taxes and official or government fees, which depend on factors such as registration location. Tesla says those charges could amount to 10% or more of the pre-order price; the final price sheet is provided closer to delivery. See Tesla’s Canadian pre-order agreement.

- Authentic Match Box Design: Premium-quality die-cast replica of the Tesla Cybertrucks (Grey) featuring realistic detailing and moving parts.
- Functional Moving Parts: Includes opening and closing features for added realism — perfect for collectors and imaginative play.
- Premium Finish: Eye-catching metallic blue paint with detailed interiors and authentic branding for a true-to-life look.
- Ideal Gift for Kids & Collectors: Great choice for children aged 3+ and adult collectors who love Hot Wheels & Match Box scale models.
- Durable & Collectible: Built from sturdy materials, perfect for long-lasting use, playtime adventures, or proudly displaying in your die-cast collection.
That means neither the C$137,990 launch figure nor the later reported prices should be treated as a complete drive-away total. A buyer needs the applicable configuration price and final price sheet, plus the taxes and fees for their circumstances.
What Canadian specifications were reported for the AWD?
The Car Guide’s 2025 reference listing for the AWD Foundation Series gives 600 hp, 0–100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, a 180 km/h top speed and a towing capacity of 4,990 kg. These are figures for that specified trim and model year, not a guarantee that every Cybertruck version has the same specifications. The Car Guide’s October 2024 launch coverage listed range of up to 512 km for the AWD and 484 km for the Cyberbeast; those range figures are from that report and should not be blended with specifications for a different model year or package.

What did Transport Canada’s exemption cover?
Transport Canada’s July 18, 2024 order granted Tesla Motors Canada ULC an exemption from section 7.9.4 of Technical Standards Document No. 126, Electronic Stability Control Systems for Light Vehicles. The stated purpose was to allow use of a highly variable steer-by-wire system that did not have the minimum steering angle of ±270 degrees required for testing under that provision.
The order did not describe a blanket exemption from Canadian vehicle safety requirements. It requires Tesla to submit semi-annual reports on steering malfunctions or failures, corrective measures, and customer complaints or comments concerning steering angle and electronic stability control performance. It also requires immediate notice to Transport Canada of certain over-the-air updates to the ESC system or steering angle, with an explanation of their effect. The order says it remains in effect until July 18, 2029, at 23:59 EST. Read Transport Canada’s exemption order.
