TAG Heuer describes the current Formula 1 Chronograph x Gulf as a 44 mm automatic chronograph powered by Calibre 16. The manufacturer lists a 48-hour power reserve, 200 m water resistance, 14.5 mm thickness and 47.30 mm lug distance. These are manufacturer specifications, not independently tested results.
Case, bezel and dial
The case is sandblasted grade 2 titanium, paired with a forged-carbon tachymeter bezel. Its black opalin dial carries Gulf blue and orange stripes, and the watch is fitted with a titanium bracelet. The blue-and-orange livery is the most prominent visual link to Gulf’s racing identity.

What the Gulf stripes signify
The blue-and-orange design draws on Gulf’s motorsport livery. TAG Heuer connects the collaboration’s visual history to the 1971 film Le Mans, where Steve McQueen wore a Heuer Monaco while driving a Gulf-liveried Porsche 917. That is a historical Monaco connection; the Formula 1 Gulf watch is not the watch McQueen wore in the film.
