The tubular structures across the skeleton dial recall the chassis of Porsche race cars. TAG Heuer links the black forged-carbon tachymeter bezel to lightweight components used on the Porsche 963. The bezel also carries Porsche marking, which the magazine describes as luminous.

Why do TAG Heuer and Porsche share the Carrera name?
The name connects two separate histories before it connects the brands in a collaboration. TAG Heuer’s June 2024 editorial says Jack Heuer named the chronograph Carrera in 1963, inspired by the Carrera Panamericana. Porsche used Carrera for powerful engine versions in honor of its racing successes, also drawing on that race’s legacy. The brands launched their official collaboration in 2021, according to the same article.
