For 2025 and older Subarus, the plans are MySubaru Safety, Security, and Concierge. For 2026 and newer models, Subaru uses MySubaru Companion and Companion+. The vehicle must have compatible 4G telematics hardware, and not every trim supports every remote-control feature.

New vehicles receive a six-month complimentary Security trial when enrolled with the required payment method. The three-year Safety trial is included as well. Subaru’s pricing sheet also lists a possible $4.95-per-month Security offer for the next 30 months after the trial for some new-vehicle enrollments. That offer is not the same as the standard $14.90 monthly renewal price.

- Search for points of interest and send destinations to the vehicle’s navigation system, if equipped
- Make restaurant reservations
- Book hotels
- Find event tickets

New-vehicle pricing for 2025 and older-generation vehicles
When a new vehicle is enrolled within 180 days of original retail delivery, Subaru lists separate introductory options:

How to check your exact Subaru STARLINK price
- Open the MySubaru mobile app.
- Sign in to your account.
- Open Manage Subscriptions.
- Select the applicable plan and follow the enrollment or renewal prompts.
Subaru’s support materials also show an older web-account path: sign in to MySubaru, select MySubaru Connect from the top banner, and then select Packages & Pricing. The labels may differ because Subaru is transitioning from STARLINK terminology to MySubaru Connected Services.

Remote start is not part of the basic plan
On a 2025-or-older vehicle, remote start requires MySubaru Security or Concierge. On a 2026-or-newer vehicle, it requires Companion+. Paying for the service still does not add hardware that the vehicle does not have.
Trim equipment determines available features
Remote climate control, heated- and ventilated-seat controls, navigation destination delivery, and some other functions depend on the vehicle’s trim and equipment. Check the feature list for your VIN rather than assuming that every Subaru with a compatible app supports every function.
The 180-day rule affects pricing
Subaru treats enrollment within the first 180 days after original retail delivery differently from later enrollment. A used vehicle or a new vehicle enrolled after that period may be shown standard monthly or annual renewal pricing instead of the introductory multi-year offers.

Certified pre-owned vehicles have an extra dealer-system requirement
For a certified pre-owned Subaru, the VIN must be certified in Subaru’s dealer system at least one day before you attempt enrollment. If the VIN was just certified, an immediate enrollment failure may be an administrative delay rather than a defective telematics system.
Coverage and hardware are required
Connected services require an eligible vehicle, an enrolled MySubaru account, an active trial or subscription, cellular coverage, and a compatible 4G telematics system. Service availability can be affected by network coverage.
Other Subaru subscriptions are separate
The AT&T Wi-Fi Hotspot is separate from MySubaru Safety, Security, Concierge, Companion, and Companion+. SiriusXM is separate as well; a SiriusXM-equipped new Subaru has its own four-month trial. Neither service is included merely because the vehicle has connected services.

For many owners, the decision is simple: choose the lowest plan that contains the feature you actually use. If remote start is the reason you are subscribing, do not select Safety or Companion. If you only want emergency and maintenance functions, the higher tiers may not justify their additional cost.
