A 2010 Los Angeles Times profile listed Spyker among Galpin Motors’ vehicle franchises. A 2009 Spyker C8 Spyder was later reported for sale at Galpin Lotus Beverly Hills in September 2024, but its present availability is unconfirmed.
What did Galpin announce about Spyker?
CarThrottle reported that Galpin was adding Spyker to its Premier Collection, with an exclusive showroom in Van Nuys. The report’s date metadata is unclear, so it is best treated as secondary coverage of the announcement rather than a precisely dated current offer. A July 11, 2010 Los Angeles Times profile independently listed Spyker among Galpin Motors’ vehicle franchises, confirming that the dealer relationship existed by that date.
CarThrottle also attributed a statement about Spyker’s engineering and materials to Galpin Motors vice-president Beau Boeckmann. It reported him saying: “In a world of cost-cutting and intensive use of plastics in automobiles, Spyker is a no- excuses automobile where every component is engineered to aircraft-type standards with jewel-like quality.” The unusual spacing in “no- excuses” is how the source renders the phrase.
Is a Spyker currently for sale at Galpin?
Current availability is not established. On September 24, 2024, duPont REGISTRY News reported a 2009 Spyker C8 Spyder offered for sale at Galpin Lotus Beverly Hills. That dated report does not confirm that the car remains available.

- True 1:64 Scale (2.75" Long)
- Exclusive Release For Premium Hobbies
- Die-cast Metal Body and Chassis
- Matching Stock Wheels and Tires
- Opening Rear Engine Cover
Galpin Lotus’s current inventory filter for a 2009 C8 Spyder returns no matching vehicle. That result applies only to the specific year-and-model query; it does not rule out another model year, a listing elsewhere, or a changed inventory feed. Galpin’s current corporate and used-inventory pages do not independently confirm an active Spyker franchise or a referral arrangement.

How to check a Spyker listing before making plans
- Check the exact car. Look for the model year, model, dealer location, and a current listing rather than relying on the historical franchise announcement or the 2024 report.
- Confirm availability with the dealer. Ask whether the vehicle is still for sale and whether it is physically at the stated location. A filtered search with no result is not a complete inventory search.
- Clarify what kind of sale is involved. The evidence concerns a reported used 2009 C8 Spyder and a historical franchise relationship; it does not establish a current new-car sales program.
