Those are different configurations: adding beds, a kitchen or other living equipment takes up space that could otherwise carry bikes or motorcycles.
How the Cube 3 sleeps six
The six-place arrangement described by New Atlas in its February 8, 2025 report uses three sleeping surfaces. It is not the empty base trailer’s standard sleeping setup.
- Two in a rooftop tent: an optional tent sits on roof rails. New Atlas describes an optional interior hatch connecting the tent to the trailer.
- Two on the rear drop-down bed: the optional bed measures 150 × 210 cm and folds away during the day.
- Two on the converted benches: the dining benches form a lower bed measuring 155 × 200 cm.
Sportcaravan’s Cube 3 product page lists up to six sleeping places depending on equipment. Confirm which beds, tent, hatch and roof rails are included in the specific build being quoted; the manufacturer notes that illustrations may show special equipment.
What changes between camper and cargo configurations
Sportcaravan describes the Cube 3 as a trailer that can switch between leisure or living use and transport use, with furniture designed to be assembled and removed without tools. Stripped of living modules, it serves as a cargo box with tie-down points; fitted out for camping, benches, beds and other equipment occupy some of that interior.

The manufacturer lists capacities of up to six mountain bikes, five e-bikes or three motorcycles, as well as up to eight seats or six sleeping places. These are setup-dependent maximums, not a promise that a fully equipped six-sleeper can also carry the maximum number of bikes. Ask for a layout and load plan for the exact configuration, including any bike or motorcycle hardware.
New Atlas reports a kitchen block with sink, pump, 13-L fresh- and waste-water canisters, portable single-burner cartridge stove and worktop, plus a separate toilet room. Its account describes the shower as an outdoor water-bag arrangement, rather than an indoor shower. Those descriptions are from its 2025 report; verify included equipment and current options with the seller.

Dimensions, weights and towing checks
Sportcaravan’s current product listing gives these approximate figures. The manufacturer says equipment can change dimensions and weights, and the listed 700 kg payload depends on equipment and load rating.

Before buying or towing, compare the actual trailer documentation and loaded weight with the tow vehicle’s limits. Payload must account for installed options and cargo, not just the trailer’s published standard curb weight. Towing-license requirements and road rules vary by jurisdiction; the figures above do not establish legal eligibility for a particular driver, vehicle or location.

Standard equipment and the price to compare
Sportcaravan lists a reinforced 1,250-kg axle, overrun brake, ball coupling, support wheel, sliding supports, wheel chocks, LED lighting and aluminum lashing rails with tie-down points among standard equipment. The listed enclosure includes insulated GRP sandwich walls and roof, an insulated floor structure, PVC flooring, side and rear doors, a window, roof vent and forced ventilation. The manufacturer specifies 30-mm PU insulation in the walls and roof and a 50-mm-thick floor structure.
The official product page listed the basic Cube 3 at €14,800 including VAT when accessed October 4, 2026. New Atlas reported a €13,900 base price in February 2025 and €24,310 for one outfitted configuration; those are historical figures, not current quotes. Options, tax treatment and the final build affect the amount to compare, so request a current itemized quote for the precise sleeping or cargo setup.

What to confirm before choosing a build
- Sleeping layout: identify each bed and tent in the quote, and whether the interior hatch is included.
- Remaining cargo room: ask what space and tie-down access remain with beds, kitchen or other modules installed.
- Loaded weights: obtain the configured trailer’s actual weight and payload, then check the tow vehicle’s ratings.
- Roof-tent fit: verify the specific tent, roof rails and hatch compatibility. The manufacturer describes the rails as compatible with virtually any rooftop tent, but fitment still needs confirmation for the chosen equipment.
- Included versus optional gear: distinguish standard trailer equipment from the living modules and other options in the advertised configuration.
