That is not the full amount due: Slate lists a separate $1,450 destination charge, and taxes, registration, fees, options, and accessories can raise the final cost. Slate’s first deliveries are currently slated for late 2026, but the truck remains preproduction and its specifications and timing can change.
What does the Slate truck cost?
Slate announced the Blank Slate’s $24,950 base price on June 24, 2026. Its current FAQ lists a $1,450 destination charge separately. The advertised base price therefore is not an out-the-door quote.
Slate’s preorder terms say listed prices exclude taxes, title, license, registration, governmental fees, destination, documentation fees, optional equipment, services, and accessories. The company says it will calculate final costs closer to purchase. State or local incentives may be available, but eligibility and amounts depend on the buyer and location.

What does the advertised price include—and leave out?
The $24,950 figure is the announced base price for the Blank Slate truck, not a finalized, individualized purchase quote. The separate destination charge is $1,450 in Slate’s current FAQ. The company’s terms list several additional categories that may affect the amount due, while the cost of a particular configuration depends on the equipment and accessories selected.
Slate says the final purchase agreement and configured price come later. A preorder is not a vehicle purchase agreement, so the announced base price should not be treated as a binding final total.

How far can the Slate truck go on a charge?
Slate advertises 205 miles of projected range for the Blank Slate truck. This is the company’s estimate based on an approximation of the EPA test cycle, not an official EPA-estimated range. Slate says it will provide the official EPA estimate when available.
Actual range can vary with temperature, driving habits, accessories, charging, and battery conditions. The projected figure is therefore a planning reference, not a guaranteed distance for every trip or driver.

When will the Slate truck be delivered?
Slate currently says first deliveries are slated for late 2026. Its June 24 announcement specified expected deliveries in Q4 2026. These are company expectations, not a confirmed delivery date for an individual buyer; the preorder terms allow timing to shift because of factors including production ramp, supply chain, regulatory requirements, and logistics.
Slate’s current direct-sale process uses a preorder deposit to lock in delivery timing. The listed deposit is $300, or $250 for a customer with an active $50 reservation, and is credited toward the purchase. Slate displays the preorder deposit as nonrefundable. The company says buying begins late 2026 as the delivery window approaches. Check the live preorder page for the window currently offered and the terms that apply before submitting a deposit.

What is still uncertain?
The Blank Slate remains preproduction. Slate says specifications, features, options, accessories, and availability are subject to change. As a result, the announced price and projected range are useful current figures, but they do not establish every production vehicle’s final equipment, cost, or performance.
Slate’s June 2026 announcement also states a 10-year/110,000-mile battery and powertrain warranty. That is the headline coverage period and mileage; the full warranty terms, including conditions and exclusions, govern what is covered.
