Its advertised One-touch Camp Mode is designed to lower stabilizers, level the trailer, extend the balcony and awning, and switch on ambient lighting. Skydream has targeted first deliveries for December 2026, but that is a company-announced goal, not confirmation that deliveries have begun.
What is the Skydream Space Camping trailer?
Skydream Technology California LLC describes Space Camping as its flagship intelligent travel trailer, combining trailer mobility, onboard energy and cabin systems in one design. At its March 23, 2026 San Jose launch, the company showed it to U.S. dealers, media and strategic partners and said it was beginning to build a North American dealer network. The launch establishes that Skydream presented the product in the United States; it does not establish that the trailer is currently on sale or that production deliveries have been verified.
Walter Cueto, Skydream’s President of the Americas Region, framed the company’s aim this way: “Skydream is not here to make a better version of what already exists. We are here because the category is overdue for a genuine rethink, and we have built the team and the technology to do it.” That is the company’s positioning, rather than an independent evaluation of the trailer.
What happens when you press the Camp Mode button?
Skydream’s official product page calls the feature “One-touch Camp Mode.” The company advertises it as a sequence that lowers the stabilizers, levels the trailer, extends the balcony and awning, and activates ambient lighting. In other words, the “push of a button” description refers to several setup actions the trailer is designed to automate; it should not be read as proof that every step has been independently tested or that no campsite preparation is needed.

The product page also advertises a flip-out balcony that adds 5.5 square metres of space, plus an L-shaped sofa that converts into a queen-size bed. New Atlas has reported other planned automation and entertainment details, but planned or depicted features should not be assumed to be standard equipment on a production trailer. The final U.S. configuration has not been established in the available launch and product information.
What specifications has Skydream published?
Skydream’s undated official product page, accessed in 2026, lists the following figures. They are manufacturer specifications, not independently verified measurements, and the page does not say whether every figure applies to the eventual U.S. model.

The listed battery range is not explained: Skydream does not specify whether it represents options, different versions or another configuration change. The company describes a high-capacity LFP battery system with integrated solar and says it can support weeks of off-grid use with air conditioning and kitchen appliances. That duration is an advertised claim; the available information does not provide test conditions, usable battery capacity or independent results to establish how long a particular setup would run.
What driving and campsite technologies are advertised?
Skydream’s March 2026 launch announcement describes motor assist, automotive-grade braking, hydraulic suspension intended to counter sway in real time, automated hitching, trailer auto-park and full-surround cameras. The company says the cabin can be controlled by voice, app or touch and supports over-the-air updates. These are descriptions of intended features, not independent findings about towing performance, braking distances, safety outcomes or reliability.

Before assessing tow-vehicle compatibility, a buyer would need more than the published trailer weight. Confirm the production model’s loaded weight, hitch requirements and tow-vehicle guidance directly with Skydream or a participating dealer. The sources do not establish how the trailer’s motor assistance interacts with a particular tow vehicle or how its listed weight changes when equipped and loaded for travel.
When could buyers get it in North America?
Skydream’s March 27, 2026 launch announcement set December 2026 as the target for first deliveries while describing the North American dealer network as under development. As of the October 8, 2026 product-page access date in the available information, that remains a target—not evidence of completed deliveries, a confirmed retail launch date or an open order book.
