Does the new Dodge Charger come with a Hellcat V8?
No. Dodge’s current 2026 Charger lineup lists the gas R/T and Scat Pack with SIXPACK inline-six engines, plus the all-electric Daytona Scat Pack. It does not list a Hellcat V8 configuration.
The title’s digital swap should therefore be read as an imagined version of the car, not a preview of an announced model. The available information does not identify the rendering’s creator, software, or technical method, and it does not establish what modifications the image depicts.
What can you buy instead?
Dodge’s published specifications offer two kinds of Charger powertrain: twin-turbocharged gas inline-sixes and an electric Daytona. The figures below are Dodge’s stated outputs and acceleration claims, not independent test results.

Dodge says the gas Scat Pack generates 30 psi peak boost. Its output and acceleration figures are manufacturer claims; they should not be confused with independently measured performance.
How does the 2027 Charger Super Bee fit in?
MotorTrend’s August 7, 2026 report describes a 2027 Charger Super Bee with a 600-hp, 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six. The report says it has AWD and a driver-selectable RWD mode. That makes it a reported higher-output gas alternative, but it is still an inline-six—not a Hellcat V8.

Why argue for a Hellcat V8?
The strongest case is not that a V8 would automatically beat the current cars on a stopwatch. There is no published Hellcat Charger specification here to compare, and no evidence establishes that such a version would be faster. The case is about offering a different kind of performance car: one centered on a supercharged V8 rather than a twin-turbo inline-six or an electric powertrain.
- It would broaden the choice. Buyers who specifically want a V8 would have an option distinct from the gas SIXPACK models and the electric Daytona.
- It would give the Charger a different performance identity. A hypothetical Hellcat would be defined by its V8 powertrain, not simply by being another high-output trim.
- It would make a clear statement about the lineup. The current published range demonstrates that Dodge offers both gas and electric performance Chargers; it does not show whether a V8 version is planned.
Those are arguments for the idea, not proof of demand, profitability, or engineering viability.

What a digital swap does—and does not—prove
A rendering can communicate a styling proposal, but it cannot establish that a real Hellcat engine would fit the new Charger or work with its chassis, drivetrain, cooling, electronics, safety systems, and emissions requirements. None of the available evidence validates the packaging or engineering of a Hellcat conversion. The image is not a working prototype, a bolt-in swap guide, or evidence of Dodge’s intent.

There is a reasonable enthusiast case for a Hellcat V8 Charger: it would add a powertrain choice that the 2026 lineup does not currently offer. But the proposal remains hypothetical. Dodge’s published specifications describe the SIXPACK-powered R/T and Scat Pack and the electric Daytona Scat Pack; MotorTrend has also reported a 600-hp inline-six Super Bee for 2027. None of those facts confirms that a Hellcat V8 Charger is coming—or that one could be engineered as a straightforward swap.
