Public reporting documents several notable vehicles associated with Shaquille O’Neal, but it does not establish a complete, up-to-date list of the cars he owns. The clearest build story is a customized 1964 Chevrolet Impala restored for him; other accounts offer dated snapshots, including a 2025 report that a custom Range Rover was stolen in transit.
What is known about Shaq’s car collection?
The available reporting is best read as a collection of individual stories, not a verified garage inventory. Some sources describe a gift or a car O’Neal bought earlier in life; others report a vehicle customized for him. None of the accounts below confirms a complete current roster.

The 1964 Chevrolet Impala: a documented custom fit
MotorTrend’s May 15, 2020 feature says O’Neal’s friend Anthony “Chicago” Hall arranged the Impala as a birthday gift and brought in Chip Foose and the Overhaulin’ team to restore it. The car was mechanically sound but in poor cosmetic condition, with rust and other restoration needs.
The feature describes changes made for O’Neal, reported as 7 feet 1 inch tall and wearing size 23 shoes. The team moved the driver’s seat back, extended the steering column six inches, lowered the floorpan about two inches and built a custom pedal setup. These are details of this Impala’s build, not evidence that all cars associated with O’Neal received similar alterations.

MotorTrend also reports a Roadster Shop chassis, an LS3 engine paired with a 4L60-E transmission, leather interior work, bucket seats and a custom rear subwoofer enclosure. The dark-gray paint, red pinstripes and special quarter-panel badges drew on O’Neal’s Superman theme and Lakers connection, with a tribute to Kobe Bryant. The Range Rover theft report is a dated snapshot
On October 28, 2025, the Associated Press reported that a $180,000 Range Rover customized for O’Neal had been stolen in Georgia while it was being transported toward Louisiana. AP said investigators were looking for the vehicle, had identified multiple potential suspects and obtained several search warrants. The shop involved, Effortless Motors, said the trucking company’s system had been hacked; AP also reported that the vehicle had been customized for O’Neal’s height, among other upgrades.

That report records what was known at the time. It does not establish whether the Range Rover was subsequently recovered, so it cannot support a claim about the vehicle’s present whereabouts. Read the Associated Press report.
Shaq’s early cars and his Buick endorsement
NBA.com recounts that O’Neal bought a Ford Bronco II for $1,500 while he was attending LSU, and connects the experience to his early encounter with car insurance. The anecdote provides context about an earlier car in his life; it is not evidence of current ownership.

The same profile says O’Neal chose Buick rather than more expensive European luxury brands for an endorsement because he wanted to represent products more people could afford. That reported choice offers a consumer-minded counterpoint to the luxury-car stories, but an endorsement is not proof that a vehicle belongs to his personal collection. Read NBA.com’s profile.
Three Bentleys—and why the date matters
Vanity Fair’s April 2012 profile recounts O’Neal’s first major impulse purchase as three Bentleys and describes a vintage-car collection at his home. It is a profile-era account, not a current inventory: it does not establish how many vehicles he owns now or whether those particular cars remain with him. Read the Vanity Fair profile.

Shaq’s Garage is also the name of a fictional series
Shaq’s Garage can refer to the real vehicles associated with O’Neal or to an animated children’s series announced by Genius Brands International in 2020. The company described a fictional world of sentient cars and trucks and quoted O’Neal saying, “Ever since I was a kid I have been fascinated by cars.” That announcement concerns the show, not the contents of his real garage.
