The SRPJ49 pairs green with tan and was limited to 6,000 pieces; the black-and-gray SRPJ75 was limited to 5,000 and positioned by Seiko for overseas markets. Those are launch-era details, not confirmation of what is currently for sale.

The easiest way to distinguish them is the dial and strap palette: the SRPJ49 is the green-and-tan version, while the SRPJ75 is black and gray. They share the same documented movement and principal specifications, so the choice between these references is primarily about appearance and collecting preference.
How the Super Cub inspires the design
Seiko says the dial represents a front view of the first-generation Honda Super Cub, introduced in 1958. The indices evoke the motorcycle’s headlights and turn signals, and a wing mark appears on the crown. Honda and Super Cub markings also feature on the strap and case back. These design details are described by Seiko’s official collaboration page.
Seiko also states that cumulative production of the Super Cub series exceeded 100 million units in 2017. That is Seiko Watch Corporation’s historical figure for the motorcycle series, not the production count for either watch.

- Movement: Seiko caliber 4R36, with day-and-date display.
- Case diameter: 42.5 mm.
- Case thickness: 13.4 mm.

- Crystal: Hardlex.
- Strap: Nylon.
- Water resistance: 10 bar.
- Power reserve: Approximately 41 hours.

Availability and buying checks
The edition limits and launch dates describe when Seiko introduced the watches; they do not show whether either reference remains in stock. Current inventory, resale prices and seller authorization are not established here. Check current listings directly, and compare the seller, condition, included box and papers, authenticity indicators, and return terms before buying.
If you are replacing the strap, the catalog’s 22 mm lug width is a useful starting point. Confirm that the specific replacement strap’s width, fitting and construction suit the watch. A generic strap should not be assumed to have official Honda or Super Cub branding.
