What happened in the Pinjar rollover?
PerthNow reported that Foufas was a passenger in a white Isuzu ute that lost control and rolled in mudflats beside Old Yanchep Road in Pinjar, about 17 kilometres northeast of Wanneroo. The crash happened at about 10:45pm on Friday, according to the report published 16 March 2025. Foufas sustained critical injuries and could not be saved. The 19-year-old driver was reported uninjured and assisting police with inquiries at that time. PerthNow’s report describes the vehicle losing control and rolling; it does not establish why the ute lost control.
How did friends remember Seb Foufas?
PerthNow reported that Foufas worked as a heavy diesel mechanic and was a keen driver. His friend Shae Jenkins remembered him in comments quoted by PerthNow: “He was definitely one that did not deserve to die, especially this young,” and, “No one deserves to die this young, but he was too good of a person to leave this Earth too early.”
Jenkins also told PerthNow: “I feel that he died doing something that he loved and that he is definitely looking down at us.” These are Jenkins’ words as reported by the outlet, rather than statements attributed to Foufas’ family. 7NEWS also reported that tributes poured in over the weekend and reproduced Jenkins’ first two remarks.

What was reported about the driver and court?
In a story published 17 March 2025, 7NEWS reported that the 19-year-old driver, from Neergabby, had been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and was due to appear before Joondalup Magistrates Court on 16 April 2025. That is the status reported at the time; the available reporting cited here does not establish what happened at the scheduled appearance or the eventual outcome of the case. 7NEWS’ report also quoted Acting Road Police Commander Mike Peters urging drivers to understand their responsibility for their own lives and the lives of others using the road.
