What the Yoho Pop-Up is—and which Tacomas it fits
The Yoho Pop-Up is Scout Campers’ modular, soft-wall camper for midsize pickups. Scout lists fitment for Toyota Tacoma 5-foot and 6-foot beds, as well as Ford Ranger beds in those lengths and larger trucks. That listing does not establish compatibility with every model year, trim or truck configuration. Check the camper’s fit requirements against your exact vehicle and verify available payload using the truck’s ratings and loaded-vehicle information before purchase. How the full-length pop-top changes the layout
The roof lifts along the camper’s full length, increasing headroom at camp while keeping the unit lower when closed for travel. Scout lists these exterior and interior heights:

Scout describes soft-wall windows with privacy zippers and bug screens; the pop-top trades a hard shell around the raised living space for this fabric-sided arrangement.

Weight, sleeping capacity and price
Scout’s product page currently lists the Pop-Up at 937 pounds and says it sleeps four. New Atlas reported a preliminary estimated dry weight of 976 pounds when the camper was introduced on June 4, 2024. These are different dated figures from different sources; the launch estimate should not be substituted for Scout’s current listing or treated as a verified weigh-in. Scout displays a $29,990 starting price on its current page. New Atlas reported a $27,900 launch-era base price in 2024. Prices and configurations can change, so the earlier figure is historical, not a current quote. The current manufacturer listing is the best reference for its displayed starting price and available build details.

Neither listed camper weight by itself establishes whether a particular Tacoma can carry the finished setup. Account for the actual truck’s available payload and the weight of occupants, water, equipment and any installed options; confirm the specific build with Scout and the vehicle’s ratings.

The practical comparison is not just the small difference in listed weight or the displayed starting prices. Consider the closed travel height and open headroom, soft-wall versus hard-wall shelter, the truck bed length, sleeping arrangement, standard equipment versus options, and the payload remaining for people and gear. Ask Scout to confirm dimensions, configuration and current pricing for the specific build you are considering.

- Match the bed: Scout lists Tacoma 5-foot and 6-foot beds, but confirm the fit against your truck’s year and exact configuration with the manufacturer.
- Check payload: Compare the camper and the loaded trip’s expected weight with your Tacoma’s vehicle ratings; do not rely on the camper’s listed weight alone.
- Confirm the build sheet: Separate standard equipment from options, including the fridge, awning, cooktop, toilet, jacks and bunk extension.
- Get current numbers: Verify the actual quoted price, delivered configuration and availability with Scout, since the displayed starting price may not reflect your order.
