Royal Enfield sold 1,009,900 motorcycles in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025, its first annual total above one million. Sales rose 11% from FY2024. The company then reported 1,238,659 motorcycles sold in FY2026, a 23% increase and a second consecutive year above the million-unit mark. Those figures show strong growth for Royal Enfield; on their own, they do not prove it outperformed the wider motorcycle market.
How many motorcycles did Royal Enfield sell in FY2025?
Royal Enfield reported sales of 1,009,900 motorcycles in FY2025, the fiscal year that ended March 31, 2025. The company called it its highest annual sales result at the time and its first year above one million. The total was 11% higher than in FY2024, according to Eicher Motors’ April 1, 2025 release.
Of those FY2025 sales, 902,757 were domestic and 107,143 were exports. The company’s release does not provide a market-wide comparison alongside these figures.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| FY2025, year ended March 31, 2025 | 1,009,900 | 11% | 902,757 | 107,143 |

What do the sales figures say about the motorcycle market?
They establish that Royal Enfield’s own reported sales increased in both years. They do not establish that the company defied or outpaced broader motorcycle-market trends. The two annual releases report Royal Enfield’s performance, but do not supply a comparable industry baseline for the same fiscal periods, geography, and motorcycle segment. Without those aligned figures, a claim about relative market performance would go beyond the evidence.

Royal Enfield’s management attributed its FY2025 performance to the strength of its portfolio and demand. In the company’s April 1, 2025 release, B. Govindarajan, Managing Director of Eicher Motors and CEO of Royal Enfield, called the year “nothing short of extraordinary.” That is management’s characterization, not an independent assessment of the causes of sales growth.
Which models did Royal Enfield single out?
The FY2025 release said the Hunter 350 had passed 500,000 cumulative sales and the Super Meteor 650 had exceeded 50,000. These are cumulative model milestones reported by the company, not annual FY2025 sales totals or a breakdown of how much either model contributed to the year’s growth.
