The Royal Enfield Nirvik V3 is a feature-rich textile riding jacket on paper, with Level 2 shoulder, elbow and back protectors, Level 1 chest protectors, and a separate high-visibility rain jacket listed in the catalogues. The important qualification: those are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results. The available evidence does not establish the V3’s garment-level CE class, waterproof performance, or real-world comfort.
What the Nirvik V3 includes
Royal Enfield describes the Nirvik V3 as an all-round jacket for varied terrain and seasons. Its listed construction is 500D heavy-duty nylon with 600D CORDURA reinforcement at impact zones and extra padding. Other listed features include reflective elements, multiple fit adjusters, a peach-skin polyester lining, neoprene at the collar and sleeve openings, vents and an action back. What protection does it have?
The catalogues list RE Ergo Pro Tech CE Level 2 protectors at the shoulders and elbows, a Norman Tech CE Level 2 back protector, and XY CE Level 1 chest protectors. Eicher Motors’ 2020–21 annual report gives historical company-wide context: it says Royal Enfield jackets carried Class A garment certification and CE-certified armor, and describes tests including abrasion resistance, impact protection, ergonomics, tear and seam strength, innocuousness, and dimensional stability. Is the Nirvik V3 waterproof?
The catalogues list a TRUDRY waterproof pocket, a waterproof medical ID card and a high-visibility rain jacket. A waterproof pocket or ID card does not make the outer jacket waterproof, and the available product information supplies no V3 water-resistance rating or verified waterproof test. Treat the rain jacket as a separate listed layer; its performance is not independently established here.

Vents, an action back, adjusters and comfort-oriented collar and sleeve materials suggest design provisions for airflow, movement and fit, but they do not establish how comfortable the jacket is in particular temperatures or riding conditions. For washing and care, follow the label supplied with your V3; care instructions found for an earlier Nirvik shell are not confirmed V3 instructions.
How does V3 differ from V2?
Royal Enfield lists Nirvik V2 and V3 separately, but the available catalogues do not provide a full generation-by-generation change log. The V3 listing names its protector combination, reinforced shell, waterproof pocket and medical ID card, adjusters, neoprene touchpoints and high-visibility rain jacket. Without a direct comparison for the relevant market and version, these should be treated as V3-listed features—not assumed upgrades over every V2 variant.

Verdict: what the specifications do—and do not—tell you
The Nirvik V3’s listed armor coverage and reinforced textile construction make it a clearly specified option for riders considering an all-season-style jacket, with a separate rain layer and several fit and airflow features. The catalogues are not enough to judge comfort, crash performance or waterproofing in use, and the older Nirvik declaration does not verify V3 garment-level certification. Base a purchase decision on the exact local listing, fit and V3-specific certification documentation available from the seller—not on assumptions drawn from the protector ratings or the older declaration.
