The motorcycle behind Royal Enfield’s American scrambler launch is the Bear 650, a road-focused scrambler based on the company’s 650 Twin platform. Royal Enfield says arrivals at dealerships in the United States and Canada would begin November 5, but its FAQ does not specify a year. The phrase “most anticipated” is promotional: the available sources do not establish an independent ranking of buyer demand.
Which Royal Enfield scrambler is arriving in America?
It is the Royal Enfield Bear 650. The U.S. product page describes it as a road scrambler, while Eicher Motors’ FY2024-25 annual report calls it a scrambler built on the 650 Twin platform. The design takes inspiration from the 1960 Big Bear Run and Eddie Mulder’s victory, according to the company’s annual report.
Royal Enfield’s U.S. FAQ says, “Starting November 5th, the Bear 650 will begin arriving at dealerships in USA and Canada.” The FAQ does not give a year, and an arrival start date does not confirm that every dealership had a motorcycle in stock. The company’s U.S. Bear 650 page provides dealer connection and test-ride links; check with a local dealer for current availability.
Bear 650 specifications
These figures come from Royal Enfield’s U.S. specifications, accessed in 2026. The company’s separate annual report rounds the output to 47 bhp and also lists 56.5 Nm of torque.

What equipment and riding use does it offer?
Road and light-trail setup
Royal Enfield positions the Bear 650 for roads, broken tarmac and light trails. Its 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels wear dual-purpose tires, and the rear ABS can be switched off. Those details support a scrambler role; they do not establish enduro credentials or serious off-road capability.
There is no tubeless tire option, according to the manufacturer’s FAQ. That is worth factoring into a buyer’s plans for puncture repairs and intended routes.

What is behind the Bear 650’s design?
Eicher Motors’ FY2024-25 annual report connects the motorcycle’s look to Eddie Mulder’s 1960 Big Bear Run victory. It describes chunky dual-purpose tires, a kicked-up rear loop, a scrambler seat and a 2-into-1 exhaust, and lists five colorways, including Two Four Nine. These are the company’s design descriptions, not independent assessments.

- ENGINEERED POWER: Increases performance by delivering high airflow that can help improve horsepower, acceleration, and engine response without typically requiring fuel-management modifications.
- PREMIUM ENGINE PROTECTION: Layers of premium cotton gauze treated with a specially designed tacking agent work to trap dirt & contaminants.
- WASHABLE & REUSABLE: K&N pre-oiled washable filters offer a longer service life, helping reduce replacement costs while supporting extended maintenance intervals.
- PRECISION OEM-STYLE FIT: Made with application specific seamless sealing beads and custom seals for easy installation (Where Applicable).
Royal Enfield says the 2-into-1 exhaust contributes to an 8% increase in peak torque compared with other models on the 650 platform. Treat that percentage as the manufacturer’s claim rather than a third-party test result.

- Ask whether the specific dealership has a Bear 650 available to view or test ride; the manufacturer’s arrival statement does not establish current local stock.
- Confirm the current U.S. MSRP and any dealer-specific charges directly with the dealer. A current price was not established on the product page reviewed.
- Check the tire setup and plan for the lack of a tubeless option if your routes or repair preferences make it important.
- Review the current model specification and available colorways with the dealer before placing an order.
The official U.S. product details and FAQ are on Royal Enfield’s Bear 650 page. Eicher Motors’ product positioning and annual-report figures appear in its Integrated Annual Report 2024-25.
