RML’s P39 is a Le Mans Hypercar-inspired, road-and-track GT based on the Porsche 992.1 911 Turbo S. RML first presented the P39 40th Special Edition with a 900-bhp specification; its current page calls the car the GT Hypercar, formerly project code P39, and lists up to 920 hp in Sport/Sport+ mode. Those figures come from different dated materials and are not one unchanged rating.
What is the RML P39?
RML Group developed the P39 as a heavily reworked Porsche 992.1 911 Turbo S, describing it as a Le Mans Hypercar-inspired GT intended for both road and track. RML’s current model page uses the name GT Hypercar and notes that P39 was its former project code.
The changes go beyond an engine tune. RML describes carbon-fibre bodywork, chassis and suspension development, and active aerodynamic devices. The 2025 brochure lists an eight-speed PDK, centre-lock wheels measuring 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear, and tyre sizes of 275/35ZR20 front and 335/30ZR21 rear. These are specifications published by RML for the P39 40th Special Edition, not independent measurements.
How much power does it have?
The number depends on which RML material and mode you mean. The P39 40th Special Edition brochure lists 912 PS (900 bhp) at 7,300 rpm and 1,000 Nm at 4,500 rpm. RML’s current GT Hypercar page gives selectable, manufacturer-stated output figures by mode:

The current page’s 920 hp Sport/Sport+ figure and the brochure’s 900 bhp figure belong to distinct materials and specifications. RML identifies Litchfield Motors as its powertrain collaborator. The figures are manufacturer claims; the materials reviewed do not provide independent test results.
What performance and aero figures has RML published?
For the P39 40th Special Edition, RML’s 2025 brochure lists 0–60 mph in 2.4 seconds, 0–100 mph in 4.5 seconds and a 205 mph top speed. A separate RML announcement dated March 17, 2025, quoted 2.4 seconds to 60 mph and a 204 mph top speed. Those are different published claims, so the 204-mph announcement figure should not be silently substituted for the brochure’s 205-mph specification.

The brochure also lists downforce of 662 kg at 150 mph and 923 kg at 177 mph. Its Nordschleife time of 6:45.00 is explicitly a simulation, not a verified lap or record. RML’s current page lists 5,100 N of downforce in Road mode and more than 6,500 N in Track mode at 150 mph, and says the latter is more than four times the downforce of a standard Porsche 992 Turbo S. These are RML’s own claims, not independent comparative testing. The brochure also cautions that its depicted cars were pre-production and final specifications were not finalized.

RML materials describe two different production figures. The October 2024 P39 40th Special Edition brochure says that edition was limited to 10 units. On March 17, 2025, RML announced plans to make 39 P39 examples. The materials do not explain how the 10-unit edition relates to the 39-example program, or establish how many cars were ultimately delivered. RML’s current page does not state whether any allocations remain available.

What changed in the project timeline?
- October 2024: RML unveiled the P39 40th Special Edition, based on the Porsche 992.1 911 Turbo S, with a stated 10-unit limit.
- March 17, 2025: RML said 39 examples were planned and announced a dynamic debut at Supercar Fest: The Runway on May 17–18, 2025. That event date has passed.
- Current model naming: RML calls the vehicle the GT Hypercar and identifies P39 as its former project code; the current page lists mode-dependent power figures, including 920 hp in Sport/Sport+.
