Those are the company’s published figures, not independent test results.
What was the Rinspeed Veleno?
The Veleno was Rinspeed’s one-off take on the Dodge Viper RT/10, presented at the 1993 Geneva Motor Show. Rinspeed’s Veleno description identifies the RT/10 as the donor car, while the company’s corporate timeline also lists the Viper Veleno in 1993.
Rather than limiting the project to engine hardware, Rinspeed changed the roadster’s exterior, wheels, cabin materials, and equipment as well as adding nitrous injection.
What did Rinspeed change?
Exterior and wheels
Rinspeed described the Veleno as an aggressively styled green roadster. Its listed body changes included a revised front skirt, mirrors mounted to the windshield frame, redesigned rear roll protection with integrated rear lights, and a modified rear end.

The car’s original one-piece wheels were replaced with three-piece O.Z. wheels measuring 10½ × 18 inches at the front and 13½ × 18 inches at the rear. Rinspeed listed Pirelli P Zero tires in 275/35-18 front and 335/30-18 rear sizes.
Cabin and equipment
Rinspeed said it covered the seats, door panels, and dashboard in Vinerus, a specially manufactured artificial material. The instrument panel and center console were painted to match the car. Listed equipment included an integrated Alpine CD changer and a Nokia 121 mobile phone.

How much power did the nitrous system add?
Rinspeed described electronically controlled nitrous-oxide injection on the Viper’s ten-cylinder, eight-liter engine. The company reported that output rose from 400 to 550 hp and torque reached 820 Nm. These figures come from Rinspeed’s own published description; it does not provide an independent dyno result or a complete stock-versus-modified performance test.
Rinspeed’s page calls the system “nitro-(NO2)-oxide-injection.” The familiar term is nitrous oxide (N₂O); the company’s stated figures should be understood as its claims about the Veleno, not as independently verified measurements. The page does not give acceleration or top-speed figures.

What is known about Veleno models and kits?
A 2019 auction catalogue recorded a hand-built 1:43-scale Dodge Viper Rinspeed Veleno miniature as one of four; that is evidence of a past listing, not current availability. A model-building reference also documents AMT/Ertl Dodge Viper RT/10 kits, including kit #8311 at 1:25 scale, but that is a kit of the donor car rather than a documented Veleno replica. Current stock for either item is not established.
