Richard Hammond unveiled Morgan’s new flagship, the Supersport, on March 11, 2025, at the company’s Pickersleigh Road factory in Malvern. Morgan hosted a simultaneous presentation at the Louwman Museum in the Netherlands. The reveal is now a past event, not an upcoming launch.
When and where did Richard Hammond unveil the Morgan Supersport?
Morgan announced on February 24, 2025 that Hammond would host the reveal, with a broadcast planned to begin at 10:50 GMT on March 11. Morgan’s report on the day confirmed that the unveiling took place at its workshops on Pickersleigh Road in Malvern. Hammond appeared alongside Morgan Managing Director Matthew Hole and Chief Design Officer Jonathan Wells. A simultaneous launch presentation was held at the Louwman Museum in the Netherlands.
Morgan described the Supersport as its new flagship. In its launch release, Hole said: “Supersport marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Morgan – a flagship that reflects the spirit and confidence of our brand today.”
What is the Morgan Supersport?
The Supersport is a Morgan sports car built around the company’s CXV bonded-aluminium platform. Morgan’s pre-launch announcement paired that platform with a BMW turbocharged six-cylinder engine. The available official launch material identifies the car’s platform and engine type but does not establish a complete technical specification or independently verified performance figures.

What features did Morgan highlight?
Morgan’s launch report points to a mix of open-air driving and everyday usability. The Supersport has interchangeable soft-top and hard-top configurations, a rear boot, Bluetooth hands-free calling, enhanced Sennheiser audio and wireless phone charging. Morgan also highlighted the side-screen mounting mechanism.
Choosing between the soft top and hard top
The key documented configuration choice is the roof: buyers can select an interchangeable soft top or hard top. Morgan’s launch report does not provide a full comparison of their price, weight, weather protection or performance, so those details should be confirmed with a retailer when commissioning a car.

Can you order the Morgan Supersport?
Morgan said on March 11, 2025 that the Supersport was available to order and that examples were already in production. Availability varies by market and date. On July 15, 2026, Morgan announced that the model was available to order throughout the United States through its authorised retailer network following homologation. The company said US-spec production would begin in August 2026, with first customer commissions expected from September. Contact an authorised retailer to confirm current availability, delivery timing and specification in your market.
