Revology’s 2026-model-year 1969 Mustang Boss 429 2+2 Fastback is listed at $395,000. It pairs Boss 429 styling with a new all-steel body and a supercharged, intercooled 5.0-liter Coyote V8 rated by Revology at 710 hp and 610 lb-ft. This is a newly built restomod—not a surviving original Boss 429 or a restoration of one.
How much does Revology’s Boss 429 cost?
Revology’s March 2026 order guide lists the 2026-model-year car at $395,000; its product page describes that as a starting price. The listed figure is not a guarantee of the final price for a particular build, since options can add to it. Ask Revology to confirm the current configured price and order status. What engine and transmission does it use?
Supercharged Coyote V8
The engine is a Ford/Roush Performance 5.0L Ti-VCT DOHC Coyote V8 with supercharging and intercooling. Revology rates it at 710 hp and 610 lb-ft in the 2026 order guide. Those are the maker’s ratings; the cited materials do not establish independent performance-test results.
Manual standard, automatic optional
A Tremec T-56 Magnum XL six-speed close-ratio manual is standard. The available Ford 10R80 electronically controlled 10-speed automatic is listed at $1,595 in the same guide. Choose based on the driving experience you want; the published materials do not provide a measured performance comparison between the two transmissions.

Is this a real 1969 Boss 429?
It is a new Revology-built car that reinterprets the 1969 Mustang Boss 429, not an original Ford-built car, a restored original, or a reproduction powered by the period 429-cubic-inch engine. Revology’s guide says Ford introduced the original Boss 429 for the 1969 model year to homologate its 429-cubic-inch hemispherical-combustion V8 for NASCAR, and that 1,358 original cars were produced across 1969 and 1970. That production figure is Revology’s stated count.
The new car keeps the model’s design cues while using modern powertrain and chassis engineering. In Revology’s November 2025 announcement, founder and CEO Tom Scarpello described it as “not a copy of that iconic model, but a redefinition of it,” using modern technology, engineering and manufacturing processes. That is the company’s characterization, not an independent evaluation.

What does the $395,000 build include?
Body and chassis
The order guide specifies a new all-steel body with inner rocker panels, torque boxes, rear bulkhead, subframe connectors, X-brace and heat-cured structural adhesives. Revology’s announcement describes a double-wishbone front suspension with aluminum subframe and a three-link rear suspension with torque arm and Panhard rod. Steering is hydraulic power rack-and-pinion, and braking is by power four-wheel disc brakes.
Wheels and modern equipment
The listed standard wheels are 17-by-9.5-inch Magnum 500s. The order guide also includes air conditioning, LED lighting, keyless entry, push-button start, a head unit with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Bluetooth, and a reverse camera. Revology says the car is designed, engineered and assembled in Orlando, Florida.

The distinction matters if originality and provenance are central to your decision: the Revology is a modern interpretation, while an original is a period Ford with its own historical powertrain and identity. The cited sources do not establish comparable transaction prices, investment performance, or resale values, so they do not support a claim that one is a better financial choice.

Revology’s November 20, 2025 announcement said existing clients had ordered more than half of the planned 50-unit production capacity for the following year. Revology’s FAQ says its vehicles can be serviced by Ford dealerships or independent shops able to work on early- and late-model Mustangs. It also says warranty work can be handled by participating Ford dealers in the U.S. and Canada or qualified independent shops. Confirm eligibility and arrangements with Revology and the intended service provider.
