What Renault has actually announced
Renault describes the E-Space as “an electric concept car that reinterprets the codes of the MPV.” The announcement, dated 6 October 2026, presents a design study rather than a confirmed new model. Renault says the concept creates a new vehicle segment and positions it as an alternative to SUVs and saloons. What the E-Space Concept looks like on paper
Renault gives the concept dimensions of 4.70 metres long, 2.02 metres wide and 1.67 metres high. Its one-box, MPV-inspired shape is arranged around a flat floor and six individual seats across three rows. That is enough to establish the concept’s broad family-transport idea, but not its practical capacity as a vehicle. Renault’s cited announcement does not provide a production powertrain, charging figures, luggage capacity, price or sales-market availability.

How the ID. Buzz comparison fits—and where it stops
The Volkswagen ID. Buzz is a useful reference point because it is a production electric vehicle with a van-like body and a people-moving role. Renault, however, has not described the E-Space as an ID. Buzz rival. A direct comparison of price, range, cargo room or market availability would be premature: the Renault is a concept without a production plan, while Volkswagen’s technical specifications apply to a real vehicle and vary by market and configuration. Don’t confuse the concept with today’s Renault Espace
The current Espace is a separate production model: a five- or seven-seat full hybrid with a 200 hp powertrain and a claimed range of up to 1,100 km, according to Renault. Those figures belong to the current Espace, not the E-Space Concept. Renault current Espace product information

For the French-market seven-seat current Espace, Renault lists a length of 4,722 mm and boot capacity of 477–1,714 litres. These are specifications for that version of the existing hybrid, not measurements or cargo figures for the concept. Renault France technical specifications
