Renault says the 0.7 m² roof filters 99.9% of UV radiation; the company announced orders opening on 13 October, with prices of €550 or €600 depending on country. Availability is market-specific: Renault UK says the feature is planned for 2027.
What is Renault Twingobay?
Twingobay is Renault’s name for a panoramic glass-roof option on the Twingo E-Tech electric. Renault gives the glass area as 0.7 m² and says the cabin-facing side features the Twingo graphic alphabet. The phrase “baby glass roof” is playful; Renault describes it as a panoramic glass roof, not as a separate technical roof category. Renault’s announcement does not state that the roof opens, so it should not be confused with an opening sunroof.
What does the glass roof do?
Renault says the multilayer glazing filters 99.9% of ultraviolet radiation, blocks most incoming infrared radiation and includes a low-emissivity layer intended to help maintain thermal comfort across seasons. Renault also says the glass can be used without a blackout blind, which it says benefits interior space and weight. These are Renault’s stated features; no independent performance test is established here.
How much does Twingobay cost, and when can you order it?
Renault’s global media announcement says orders open on 13 October and lists a price of €550 or €600 depending on country. Renault Global Media does not provide a complete market-by-market price list. Renault Germany specifies €600 and the same order-opening date on its local announcement. Check with Renault in your country for the applicable price and ordering availability.

Timing also varies by market. Renault UK says the Twingo is planned to receive Twingobay in 2027, according to its Paris Motor Show page. The global order date should therefore not be taken as a launch date for every country.
How does it relate to the Twingo prototype?
Renault showed a fixed glass roof on the Twingo E-Tech electric prototype announced in 2024. That release provides design context, but it does not establish that the prototype roof and the newly named Twingobay production option are identical. Renault’s prototype announcement describes the earlier concept.
