Rajiv Yadav and co-driver Rohit Gowda won the four-wheel Xtreme category at the 2026 JK Tyre Rally of Himalayas, which finished in Padum, Zanskar, on September 30. The event began in Manali on September 26 and crossed Lahaul-Spiti and Zanskar.

The organizer’s recap lists the four-wheel Xtreme podium as:
- Rajiv Yadav and Rohit Gowda
- Aaryak Rana and Aditya Sharma
- Daksh Gill and Virender Kashyap
The organizer uses “Xtreme” for the four-wheel class; Autocar India spells it “Extreme.” Autocar India also reports that Dhritimaan Singh won the Moto category, while the organizer names Soham Hazra and Nirav Mehta as winners of its Adventure four-wheel category. The two reports use different labels for the additional four-wheel competition, so they should not be treated as interchangeable without clarification.
Route and event scale
According to the organizer, the J&K Bank-presented rally was flagged off from Manali on September 26 and concluded after more than four days in Padum. Its route crossed Lahaul-Spiti and Zanskar, with the organizer reporting 50 cars and 80 riders. Autocar India calls this the rally’s sixth edition and describes a route through Manali, Kaza, Jispa, Kunzum La and Padum; it says the event visited Zanskar for the first time in this edition.

Autocar India reports nearly 130 participants overall, with 80 Moto competitors, 29 in the Extreme class and 20 in TSD. Those are that outlet’s category and field counts; the reports do not explain how its four-wheel class figures relate to the organizer’s vehicle count, or reconcile the Adventure and TSD labels.
Stages, altitude and attrition
Autocar India says Yadav took an early lead on the opening day, with local competitor Aaryak Rana close behind. The first day included a 72-kilometre gravel stage that was run in reverse on Day 2, changing the braking points, turn-in timing and pacing competitors needed for the same route.

The organizer says the route climbed above 16,500 feet near Shinku La, where thin air and difficult terrain tested pace, traction and throttle control. Autocar India reports that Daksh Gill reached speeds of up to 200 km/h in the Zanskar section; this is the outlet’s reported figure, not an independently verified measurement.
More than a dozen Extreme competitors had retired by the end of Day 2, according to Autocar India. Lakhpa Tsering was among them: both the outlet and the organizer’s recap report that his Toyota Hilux withdrew after a mechanical or technical issue.

What the reports establish
The published coverage confirms the winning crew, podium, broad route and reported stage conditions, but does not provide an official timing sheet, elapsed times or precise winning margins. Those details cannot be inferred from the result announcement alone.
