Reports have linked Rafael Nadal to a mix of performance cars and Kia models, but no available source confirms a complete, current inventory. The clearest thread is his long-running Kia relationship, alongside a personal story about learning to drive in a Kia Sorento.
What cars have been linked to Rafael Nadal?
A 2024 report by ge.globo says Nadal’s collection would include the following six models. The outlet attributes the luxury-car portion of its list to specialist websites; it does not establish that Nadal personally confirmed every car or still owns any of them.
| Reported model | Type | What the reporting establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Aston Martin DBS | Grand tourer | Named in ge.globo’s secondary collection report; not independently confirmed as a current vehicle. |
| Ferrari 458 Italia | Sports car | Named in ge.globo’s secondary collection report; not independently confirmed as a current vehicle. |
| Mercedes-Benz AMG SL55 | Performance roadster | Named in ge.globo’s secondary collection report; not independently confirmed as a current vehicle. |
| Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon | Luxury SUV | Named in ge.globo’s secondary collection report; not independently confirmed as a current vehicle. |
| Kia EV6 GT | Electric performance crossover | Named in ge.globo’s reported collection list; the report does not independently verify current ownership. |
| Kia Stinger | Sport sedan | Named in ge.globo’s reported collection list; the report does not independently verify current ownership. |
The list is useful as a record of what has been reported, not as a definitive garage inventory. Ge.globo’s article, published October 11, 2024, also gives price estimates, but those figures should not be treated as current values: market, model year, condition and currency can all change the comparison.
Why Kia is the strongest connection
Kia’s official partnership page says Nadal became a Kia Spain brand ambassador in 2004 and the company’s global brand ambassador in 2006. That documents a sustained public relationship with the automaker; it does not, by itself, verify the personal ownership of every Kia model later associated with him.

Kia’s heritage account adds some context about cars connected with that relationship. It says Nadal chose to continue with Kia as their relationship neared its end and recalls a 2015 comment beside a car awarded after his Stuttgart win. The brand history also describes Sorento campaign activity and a vehicle handover at the Australian Open. These are brand-published accounts of partnership and event activity, rather than an independently verified list of his private vehicles.
Nadal’s own story about a Kia Sorento
In an interview originally published in 2017 and republished by Autopista in 2024, Nadal recalled learning to drive in a personalized Kia Sorento and crashing it into a concrete utility pole. His account is a direct personal recollection, making it distinct from the secondary reporting behind the broader collection list.
“Aprendí a conducir con Kia, me pegué el primer ‘castañazo’ con Kia con un Sorento bien chulo, personalizado para mí, y lo estrellé contra un poste de hormigón del tendido eléctrico.”
In English: “I learned to drive with Kia, had my first crash with Kia in a really nice Sorento, personalized for me, and crashed it into a concrete electricity-pylon pole.”

What the reports do—and don’t—confirm
- Documented: Kia says Nadal’s ambassador relationship began in Spain in 2004 and became global in 2006.
- Personal recollection: Nadal has described learning to drive in a customized Sorento and having an early crash in it.
- Secondary collection reporting: ge.globo’s 2024 article associates six named models with his collection, while qualifying the luxury-car list as information drawn from specialist sites.
- Not established: a complete, item-by-item list of cars Nadal currently owns, a verified total, or current market values for the reported vehicles.
Accordingly, the most accurate way to describe the collection is as a reported mix of performance cars and Kia models, with the Kia partnership and Sorento recollection better documented than the full ownership list.
