The Power Queen 12V 125Ah Group 27 LiFePO4 battery offers more rated energy than a 100Ah battery in a compact Group 27 case, but it is not a universal drop-in replacement. It makes sense only if the case fits, your charging sources support its settings, and your RV or trolling motor stays within its electrical limits. The specifications below are Power Queen’s published claims; no independent test results are available here.

What are the battery’s specifications?

Power Queen lists this as a 12.8V nominal, 125Ah LiFePO4 deep-cycle battery with 1,600Wh of energy. The manufacturer also lists an internal 100A battery management system (BMS), 100A maximum continuous charge and discharge currents, and 1,280W maximum continuous output. These are product specifications, not independently verified measurements. Power Queen’s product listing also specifies Bluetooth 5.0 monitoring, IP65 protection, M8 × 16mm terminals, and FCC, CE, RoHS, and UN38.3 certifications.

Specification Power Queen listing
Nominal voltage and capacity 12.8V, 125Ah
Rated energy 1,600Wh
Case type and dimensions BCI Group 27; 12.13 × 6.69 × 8.31 inches
Weight Approximately 25.12 lb
BMS and continuous current 100A BMS; 100A maximum continuous charge and discharge current
Maximum continuous output 1,280W
Charging voltage and recommended current 14.4V ± 0.2V; 20A recommended
Bluetooth and ingress protection Bluetooth 5.0; IP65

Will it fit your RV or boat compartment?

Measure the battery space, not just the existing battery label. The case is 12.13 × 6.69 × 8.31 inches, and the installation also needs room for the M8 terminals, cables, bends, and any hold-down or service access. Check the compartment’s usable dimensions and the battery’s orientation requirements against the exact manual for your SKU before installing. The product’s Group 27 designation alone does not establish that it fits every Group 27 tray or compartment.

At approximately 25.12 lb, it may weigh less than some alternatives, but the weight of the old battery and the space available should be checked in the actual installation. Do not assume that existing cables, fuses, battery restraints, or wiring are suitable merely because the new battery is 12V.

  • Low-Temp Protection: stops charging below 32°F (0°C) and stops discharging below -4°F (-20°C) - helps prevent cold damage and extends battery life in winter use.
  • Self-Developed Smart BMS with 20+ Protections: guards overcharge,over-discharge,over-current,short circuit,over-temp and more - safer operation for RV, marine and solar systems.
  • BCI Group 27 Size : (12.13×6.69×8.31 in) fits many RV/boat boxes and trays. +320Wh vs 12V 100Ah in same size - powers a 10W light up to 32 hours longer
  • Pre-Charge & Fast Auto-recovery: pre-charge improves inverter compatibility; after overload protection, auto restores output in ~30s - keeps essential devices running more reliably.

Can I connect it to my RV?

Potentially, if the compartment, charging equipment, wiring, protection, and connected loads are compatible. Power Queen markets the battery for RV use, but that claim does not establish compatibility with every converter, alternator, solar controller, inverter, or RV electrical system.

Check the charging sources

Power Queen specifies CC/CV charging, a voltage of 14.4V ± 0.2V (also described on its listing as a recommended range of 14.2V–14.6V), and a recommended charge current of 20A. The listed 100A maximum continuous charge current is a limit, not the recommended everyday charging current. Review the settings and output of every source that can charge the battery, including the converter, alternator or DC-DC charger, and solar controller. Confirm the source has suitable LiFePO4 settings and that its voltage and current stay within the battery and equipment limits. Consult the RV and charger manufacturers if the charging behavior or configuration is unclear.

Check loads and protection

The 100A maximum continuous discharge current and 1,280W maximum continuous output are important limits when evaluating an inverter or other large load. Add up the expected simultaneous loads and check their operating and startup demands against the battery, BMS, cables, and protective devices. A 125Ah rating by itself does not show whether a particular load will work.

Power Queen lists a five-year warranty. The listing also states cycle-life figures of 4,000 cycles at 100% depth of discharge, 6,000 at 80%, and 15,000 at 60%. These are manufacturer claims; the surfaced listing does not state the test protocol, temperature, or end-of-life capacity threshold, so they should not be read as a guaranteed service life. Review the current warranty terms and manual for conditions that apply to your purchase and installation.

Is the battery suitable for a trolling motor?

It may be suitable when the motor and battery-bank configuration match. Power Queen says the battery can be used in 12V, 24V, and 36V trolling-motor systems, but this does not confirm that every motor, bank arrangement, or wiring setup is supported. Check the motor’s required voltage, the battery-bank wiring, the motor’s current demand, and the battery’s 100A continuous discharge limit. Also follow the motor maker’s battery requirements and verify the arrangement against Power Queen’s current manual.

Power Queen’s German product listing gives examples of more than 2.5 hours for a 55 lb trolling motor at full throttle and up to 40–45 hours for a 12V 35W cooler. These are vendor examples, not independent test results or guaranteed runtimes. Actual runtime depends on load, operating profile, conditions, and system losses. The regional listing should not be treated as proof of expected runtime in a different boat or installation.

What about cold-weather charging?

Power Queen lists a charging temperature range of 32°F to 122°F and low-temperature charging protection at 32°F, with recovery at 41°F. It lists a discharge range of −4°F to 140°F and a storage range of 14°F to 122°F. Do not interpret the discharge range as permission to charge below freezing: the listed charging cutoff is 32°F. Account for the battery’s temperature and the installation environment, and check the exact manual for operating and recovery instructions.

How does it compare with Power Queen’s 100Ah and 150Ah options?

Power Queen’s comparison lists the 125Ah Group 27 model at 1,600Wh, versus 1,280Wh for its 100Ah Group 31 and 100Ah Group 24 Smart models. Its separate 12V 150Ah Group 27 listing is a higher-capacity alternative. These are manufacturer-listed comparisons, not independent competitive tests. Compare the physical dimensions and current limits for each specific model before choosing; amp-hours alone do not establish fit or system compatibility. Power Queen’s 150Ah Group 27 listing provides the alternative’s product details.

Who should consider this battery?

  • Consider it if its Group 27 case fits with terminal and cable clearance, 125Ah/1,600Wh meets your capacity needs, and your charging sources and loads stay within the listed limits.
  • Check carefully before buying if your RV or boat uses an older converter, alternator charging, a solar controller, a multi-battery bank, or cold-weather storage or operation. Compatibility depends on the specific equipment and installation.
  • Choose another option or redesign the system if you need more than 100A continuous discharge, the case does not fit, or your charging equipment cannot be configured to suitable LiFePO4 settings.

Power Queen lists expansion up to 4P4S and advises that batteries in a series/parallel bank be identical, from the same brand, and purchased within a month. Treat that as manufacturer guidance rather than a complete bank-design specification: consult the current manual and verify the wiring, protection, charging, and installation requirements before connecting batteries.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I connect the Power Queen 12V 125Ah Group 27 battery to my RV?

Potentially, if it fits and the RV’s charging sources, wiring, protection, and loads are compatible. Check the converter, alternator or DC-DC charger, and solar controller against the battery’s listed charging settings and limits.

Is the battery suitable for a trolling motor?

It may be, if the motor voltage and battery-bank wiring match and the motor’s current demand is within the battery’s limits. Verify the setup with the motor maker and the battery’s current manual.
