Porsche’s animated holiday commercial won praise from viewers who saw it as a welcome alternative to AI-generated imagery. But the available account does not establish that Porsche said the ad was made without AI: it reports a production mix of hand-drawn sketches and CGI, while the AI-free claim was an audience inference.
What happens in Porsche Holiday?
Futurism’s Frank Landymore describes “Porsche Holiday” as a 30-second animated commercial. It follows a driver along an autumnal mountain road and then through a city at sunset. The report characterizes its look as 2D-style animation, with precise lines, geometric forms and bright colors.
Futurism’s December 29, 2025 report identifies the Paris-based animation team Parallel Studio as credited for the work.
What production method was reported?
According to Futurism, Porsche shared behind-the-scenes footage describing the production as a mix of hand-drawn sketches and CGI. That account is narrower than a claim that the commercial was made entirely by hand: CGI is part of the reported process, and the report does not specify whether AI tools were or were not used.

The original Instagram post and linked social posts were not independently retrievable for this account, so the production description should be attributed to Futurism rather than treated as a separately verified statement from Porsche.
Did Porsche say the ad was made without AI?
Not in the account at hand. Futurism reports that Porsche did not specifically mention AI. Viewers interpreted the behind-the-scenes description as implying the ad was made without it, but that interpretation is not confirmation from the company.

That distinction matters: a description of hand-drawn sketches and CGI tells readers something about the reported workflow, but it does not establish whether AI was absent from every stage of production.
