Porsche Ventures joined a $2 million seed round for Seattle-founded KeySavvy in November 2023, backing a digital service designed to make private-party car sales safer to complete. The round also included Founders’ Co-op; the reported total was $2 million, but no source states how much Porsche Ventures individually invested.
What did Porsche invest in?
GeekWire reported on November 6, 2023, that KeySavvy announced a $2 million seed round from Porsche Ventures, Porsche’s venture arm, and Seattle-based Founders’ Co-op. KeySavvy was founded by Andrew Crowell and Jason Hoetger, former colleagues at Seattle auto-sale platform Tred. GeekWire’s 2023 report identifies the round’s total, not the size of Porsche Ventures’ individual check.
How does KeySavvy aim to make a private car sale safer?
A private sale brings together strangers who must coordinate money, identity, and ownership transfer. KeySavvy describes its platform as a way to manage that transaction digitally, using identity verification and payment technology alongside licensed-dealership capabilities and guided steps. The aim is to help buyers and sellers complete the deal without having to manage each part of the process on their own.
KeySavvy’s homepage says buyer and seller information is not shared with the other party. For sellers whose vehicle has an outstanding loan, the company says it can handle payoff as part of the sale; its homepage lists an additional $99 payoff fee. Fees and service terms can change, so check KeySavvy’s current service information before using the platform.

What happened after the 2023 seed round?
In November 2024, KeySavvy announced a separate $4.25 million funding round led by Bonfire Ventures, with Experian Ventures, Daher Investments, and Founders’ Co-op participating. That later financing should not be confused with the $2 million 2023 seed round involving Porsche Ventures. KeySavvy’s 2024 announcement also described partnerships with Cars & Bids, AutoCheck by Experian, and Hemmings. The company said these partners could integrate with KeySavvy through an API, allowing users to move from a partner’s site or app into the transaction platform; the announcement does not establish that every integration remains active today.

Porsche AG’s 2025 consolidated financial statements list a 7.44 percent interest in capital in KeySavvy, Inc., and show 2024 as the acquisition year. That is a figure reported in the filing, not a statement that Porsche controls KeySavvy or the terms of its 2023 investment.
