The Porsche Taycan Turbo GT is an all-electric performance sedan introduced in 2024—not Porsche’s newest EV as of October 2026. Its headline 1,108 PS is a brief maximum, not power it sustains continuously. The Weissach Package makes the car more track-focused by removing the rear seats and other equipment; Porsche’s 2026 Manthey Kit adds a further track-oriented upgrade for that version.
What is the Taycan Turbo GT?
The Turbo GT is a high-performance Taycan, introduced in 2024. It is offered as a road-oriented sedan and with the Weissach Package, a distinct configuration aimed more squarely at track use. Porsche announced updates to the wider Taycan range for model year 2026, so calling the Turbo GT Porsche’s “newest EV” is no longer accurate.
The Turbo GT’s powertrain uses two electric motors. Porsche’s figures describe several different output states, which matter more than a single headline number when assessing what the car can deliver and for how long.
What does “1,000 horsepower” mean here?
Porsche’s 2025 technical explainer gives output in kilowatts and metric horsepower (PS). It reports 580 kW (789 PS) as maintainable output, 760 kW (1,034 PS) at launch, and up to 815 kW (1,108 PS) for a maximum of two seconds when Launch Control and Overboost are activated. The 1,108 PS figure is therefore a short-duration peak, not continuous output. Porsche explains the Turbo GT’s power figures.

Attack Mode is a separate boost function. Porsche says it supplies up to 700 kW (952 PS) for ten seconds, and cautions that this is not added to the 815 kW Overboost figure. The stated conditions include battery charge above 30 percent and battery temperature above 10°C; Porsche recommends Attack Mode for circuit use.
For the US-market launch, Porsche published a separate set of figures using horsepower (hp): 777 hp, 1,019 hp at launch with overboost, and a 1,092 hp peak for two seconds. Keep these US figures distinct from the PS figures above rather than treating the units or measurement accounts as interchangeable. Porsche’s US launch release describes its measurement method and figures.

How does the Weissach Package change the car?
The standard Turbo GT retains its rear seats and is the more road-oriented configuration. Weissach removes the rear seats, creating a two-seat layout, and strips out other equipment while adding track-focused aerodynamic and lightweight measures, including a fixed rear wing. Porsche’s US launch material lists Turbo GT aero, summer tires, forged wheels and Porsche Active Ride among the standard car’s equipment; the Weissach version adds its own aero and weight-saving changes.
| Configuration | Intended use and seating | US 0–60 mph claim | 2025 US launch MSRP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Taycan Turbo GT | High-performance road sedan; rear seats retained | 2.2 seconds | $230,000 |
| Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package | More track-focused; two-seat layout | 2.1 seconds | $230,000 |
These acceleration and price figures come from Porsche’s 2024 US release for the 2025 model launch. The MSRP excludes taxes, title, registration, dealer charges and a $1,995 delivery, processing and handling fee. It is a launch price, not a verified current transaction price or a price for other markets. See Porsche’s US launch specifications.

What range and battery figures are published?
Porsche’s EU technical sheet for the Weissach version lists a combined WLTP range of 538–555 km and battery capacity of 105 kWh gross and 97 kWh net. These are EU test-cycle and specification figures, not US EPA range estimates. Porsche notes that specifications can vary by country. The March 2024 EU technical sheet provides the relevant figures.
What does the 2026 Manthey Kit add?
Porsche announced the Manthey Kit for Taycan Turbo GT cars with the Weissach Package, with ordering as a retrofit from June 2026 and factory-direct availability on request. It modifies aerodynamics, suspension and the powertrain. Porsche also names Pirelli P ZERO Trofeo RS tires as part of the setup. These changes are aimed at track performance rather than making the regular Turbo GT a different model. Porsche’s Manthey Kit announcement outlines the package.

Porsche reports that development driver Lars Kern completed the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6:55.533 minutes in the electric executive cars category with a Turbo GT Weissach equipped with the Manthey Kit. That is a manufacturer-reported lap time and category claim, not an independent comparison test. Porsche’s June 2026 model-year announcement also describes the kit’s availability.
