Polestar’s estate-inspired Polestar 4 variant is officially named the Polestar 4 SUV—not the Polestar 4 wagon. The company announced the new version on February 18, 2026, and confirmed its name on July 7, with sales planned to start September 2. Polestar’s September 2 launch video marks the dated launch event; it does not establish that orders or deliveries began everywhere on that date.
Is Polestar launching a station wagon version of the Polestar 4?
Polestar has announced a more versatile variant of the Polestar 4, but its formal name is Polestar 4 SUV. “Wagon” or “estate” describes the space-oriented positioning, rather than the confirmed model name. In February, CEO Michael Lohscheller described the idea as “combining the space of an estate and the versatility of an SUV with the dynamic performance that is Polestar.” Polestar’s July announcement confirmed the name Polestar 4 SUV.
The company’s launch video also plays on the question of whether it is an SUV, wagon or crossover, then identifies it as the Polestar 4 SUV. So “Polestar 4 wagon” is understandable shorthand for the body-style discussion, but it is not Polestar’s official model designation.
When was the Polestar 4 SUV announced, and when does it go on sale?

What specifications has Polestar announced?
Polestar’s July 2026 announcement gives two headline figures for distinct powertrain variants. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test results.

The range and power figures apply to different specified variants: the 630 km maximum is for Rear motor versions, while the 544 hp figure is for Dual motor versions. They should not be read as specifications for one configuration. WLTP is the stated range basis; the reviewed announcements do not provide independent range testing.
Where will the Polestar 4 SUV be available?
Polestar says the vehicle is made in Busan, South Korea, and that it would be available to order in a majority of its markets. That statement does not identify every country, confirm local order status, or establish local delivery dates. The US product page says standard and upgraded features may vary by market. For country-specific pricing, equipment, orders or timing, check Polestar’s live local-market configurator or a market-specific announcement.

The cited announcements do not establish country-by-country prices, trim structures, local ordering status or delivery dates. They also do not provide a matched set of specifications for a detailed comparison with the Polestar 4 coupé. A fair comparison would need equivalent markets and powertrains, plus comparable information on cargo practicality, equipment, range basis, performance and price.
