Polestar 3: U.S. Specs, Range, Charging and What to Know About the 2026 Refresh

Polestar lists three U.S. Polestar 3 configurations with up to 350 miles of EPA-estimated range. U.K. 2026 refresh figures describe a different specification.

The Polestar 3 is available in three U.S. configurations, with manufacturer-listed EPA-estimated range of up to 350 miles for the single-motor model. But the headline’s “first drive” verdict cannot be verified: the original test, vehicle configuration and market were not identified. Here’s what current U.S. specifications establish—and why they should not be mixed with figures for the refreshed 2026 U.K. model.

What can be confirmed about the Polestar 3?

Polestar’s U.S. performance page lists three versions: a rear-wheel-drive single motor, a dual motor, and a dual motor with the Performance pack. The figures below are manufacturer specifications; range is EPA-estimated, not an independent road-test result. Polestar says range can vary with conditions, driving style and vehicle load. Polestar U.S. performance specifications

U.S. configuration Output and torque EPA-estimated range 0–60 mph Suspension
Single motor, rear-wheel drive 220 kW (299 hp); 361 lb-ft Up to 350 miles 7.5 seconds Passive dampers
Dual motor 360 kW (489 hp); 620 lb-ft Up to 315 miles 4.8 seconds Active dual-chamber air suspension
Dual motor with Performance pack 380 kW (517 hp); 671 lb-ft Up to 279 miles 4.5 seconds Active dual-chamber air suspension

Polestar also describes torque vectoring on the dual-motor version. The Performance pack adds 22-inch wheels and performance tuning, according to the same U.S. specifications page. The trade-off in the listed figures is clear: the two quicker versions have lower EPA-estimated range than the single motor.

How far can the U.S. Polestar 3 go on a charge?

Polestar lists up to 350 miles for the U.S. single-motor model, 315 miles for the dual motor, and 279 miles for the dual-motor Performance version. These are EPA-estimated figures published by the manufacturer, not promises of how far every driver will travel. Conditions, driving style and vehicle load affect actual range.

How long does the Polestar 3 take to charge?

For the U.S. specification described on Polestar’s page, the battery is 111 kWh and 400 V. The manufacturer lists peak DC charging at 250 kW and a reference time of 30 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% when using a 250 kW charger. That is a stated estimate, not a charging result independently measured here; a charger’s peak rating also does not describe the vehicle’s full charge curve. Polestar lists 11 kW AC charging and a Type 1 AC cable for this U.S. specification. Polestar U.S. specifications

Confirm the connector and electrical requirements for the exact market and model year before choosing home-charging equipment. The U.S. page warns that features may vary by market, and its cable details should not be assumed to apply to refreshed vehicles elsewhere.

Why do 2026 U.K. figures differ from U.S. specifications?

A 2026 U.K. review describes an under-the-skin update with 800 V architecture, revised batteries and motors, and updated computing. It reports a 92 kWh battery for the single-motor version and 106 kWh for the dual motor, with up to 350 kW DC charging for the dual motor. Those details refer to the versions described in that U.K. review—not the 111 kWh, 400 V U.S. specifications above. The review’s U.K. range and power figures likewise should not be substituted for U.S. figures without current U.S. confirmation. Top Gear’s 2026 U.K. review

When comparing listings or reviews, check the country, model year, powertrain and battery specification first. Battery capacity, voltage, charging capability and range are not interchangeable across these market-specific versions.
