Here’s what the official photos and specifications show—and what families should weigh before choosing between them.
What do the QX65 photos show?
INFINITI’s design brief centers on a dramatically arched roofline, broad stance, rear spoiler, and a full-width LED tail lamp. The grille is described by the automaker as inspired by Japanese bamboo forests, while the headlamps use a digital-piano-key motif. Sunfire Red is a three-layer paint finish with genuine gold-coated glass flecks, according to INFINITI’s March 27, 2026 U.S. debut announcement.
These are manufacturer descriptions of the design, not evidence of how the QX65 drives. The photos present the QX65 as a sleek, fastback-shaped crossover; they do not establish a handling advantage over a conventional SUV.
How many seats does the QX65 have?
INFINITI’s official model page states: “The 2027 INFINITI QX65 is a two-row, five-passenger vehicle.” Its second row slides and reclines, and folds flat to expand cargo capacity. INFINITI lists 67.4 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the front row on its global product page; that figure describes the second row folded, not space available with all five seats in use.

The practical distinction is capacity versus silhouette: choose the QX60 if the third row and seven-passenger seating matter; consider the QX65 if five seats are enough and its fastback design appeals. The QX65’s folded-seat cargo figure and towing rating do not tell you how much luggage fits behind the second row or what a particular towing setup can handle. Check the vehicle’s current specifications and equipment before buying or towing.
Powertrain, fuel economy, and towing
INFINITI lists a 2.0-liter VC-Turbo four-cylinder producing 268 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The U.S. trim page lists all-wheel drive on LUXE, SPORT, and AUTOGRAPH. These are manufacturer specifications, not independently verified performance results.

For each U.S. trim, INFINITI lists 20 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined, and recommends premium gasoline. These are manufacturer-listed figures, not real-world test results. INFINITI’s global product page gives a maximum towing capacity of 6,000 pounds when properly equipped and describes a factory-installed 7-pin connector and heavy-duty tow hitch. The “when properly equipped” qualification matters: confirm the specific vehicle’s configuration and towing limits before planning a load.
Trims, prices, and equipment
INFINITI USA lists three all-wheel-drive QX65 grades. The following starting MSRPs and destination charge are from its specifications page accessed in 2026; prices can change and do not include other applicable costs.

INFINITI’s debut announcement describes dual 12.3-inch displays, Google built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and available 64-color ambient lighting. Klipsch audio is available, with the systems differing by trim as shown above. The release also identifies available Individual Audio and Personalized Sound Profile technology. Check the current grade-specific specification page for exact availability and packaging.
Driver assistance and availability
INFINITI describes ProPILOT Assist features and says ProPILOT Assist 2.1 is available on a select top grade. The global product page says the system can support hands-off driving in certain freeway scenarios, while the driver must remain attentive and ready to take control. This is not autonomous driving.

INFINITI’s March 27, 2026 announcement said U.S. retailer arrivals were planned for early summer 2026. That announced timing does not confirm current stock at any particular dealership; check with local retailers for availability.

- It may fit: households that need five seats rather than a third row, want the fastback look, and value a second row that slides, reclines, and folds flat.
- Look at the QX60 instead: if carrying up to seven people is a regular need.
- Verify before deciding: compare current trim equipment and pricing, check cargo room with the second row upright for your own luggage, and confirm towing limits for the exact vehicle and setup.
The cited official materials establish specifications and positioning, but not a road-test verdict, independent crash-test rating, real-world fuel-economy result, or direct comparison against other brands. Treat “sporty” as INFINITI’s design positioning rather than a proven handling claim.
