Its headline range reaches 414 miles WLTP in the Long Range version, but luggage space falls to 348 litres when all seven seats are in use. That mix makes it a promising family all-rounder on paper; the figures alone cannot settle how it drives or whether its third row suits your family.
Which electric E-5008 version should you consider?
Peugeot UK’s current lineup, checked on 8 October 2026, offers three configurations. The range and charging times below are manufacturer claims for UK models; WLTP is a standardized comparison cycle, not a promise of the distance you will cover on every trip.

Peugeot says range varies with equipment, speed, vehicle weight, climate control, tyres, road conditions and weather. The Long Range version has the highest official figure, while the Dual Motor combines the highest stated power with a shorter claimed range. How much range can you expect in real use?
WLTP figures help compare cars tested to a standardized procedure; they do not predict the exact range on a particular journey. A search-result summary of an Electrifying first-drive video reports 3.6 miles per kWh, or about 263 miles, during a warm, moderately fast drive in Sweden. That is one publisher-reported observation, not a repeatable guarantee or a direct comparison with every UK version; the route, tested version and full procedure are not established here. How long does charging take?
Peugeot’s UK page quotes 20–80% charging in 30 minutes for the Standard Range and Dual Motor versions, and 27 minutes for Long Range. These are manufacturer times, not a promise for every charger or session: reaching them depends on an appropriate high-power charger and conditions. The launch-era UK announcement cited up to 160 kW and a 30-minute 20–80% time; for the current UK lineup, use the current model page’s version-specific figures rather than mixing in that earlier release. For home charging, Peugeot describes overnight charging from a private charging point such as a Wallbox and names Free2Move Charge as a charging partner. How practical is the seven-seat cabin?
Seven seats are standard in Peugeot UK’s presentation of the E-5008, but the boot capacity changes substantially with the seating arrangement. The current UK page gives 348 litres with all seven seats in use, 916 litres in the five-seat configuration and up to 2,232 litres in a two-seat setup. For a family that regularly carries seven people, the 348-litre figure is the useful starting point—not the larger figures quoted with seats folded.
Peugeot’s international March 2024 announcement gives different luggage capacities: 259 litres with seven seats, 748 litres with five and 1,815 litres in a two-seat setup. Those are figures from a different market/document, so they should not be blended with the current UK specifications. If boot capacity is central to your decision, confirm the exact figures in the current UK brochure and try your usual luggage with the third row raised. Published seating and boot figures do not establish how easily adults or children can access and sit in the third row. Check access, seat comfort and space for the people who will use it, and assess what remains for bags when every seat is occupied.
What does “great all-rounder” mean for this E-5008?
The evidence supports a clear case for breadth: the E-5008 offers three electric powertrain choices, a UK-claimed range as high as 414 miles WLTP, and a seven-seat layout. The trade-offs are equally concrete: the highest-range figure belongs only to the Long Range version, charging times are manufacturer claims, and the seven-seat boot is much smaller than the five-seat capacity. Whether it is the right all-rounder for you depends on how often you need all seven seats, your charging routine and which powertrain best fits your journeys.

This is not a full road-test verdict. The available first-drive summary does not establish detailed impressions of ride comfort, handling, acceleration feel, visibility, cabin noise or the user interface, so those qualities should be judged in a test drive rather than assumed from the specifications.

Peugeot’s 20 March 2024 UK launch release quoted up to 410 miles WLTP, while its current UK model page lists three versions with claims of up to 310, 414 and 291 miles. The launch release is useful context, but it predates the current lineup presentation and should not replace the version-specific figures for a present-day UK comparison. International launch materials also used different outputs and luggage capacities, reinforcing the need to compare the same market, model year and configuration. Current Peugeot UK specifications

For a comparison with another seven-seat EV, line up local trims and model years, then compare battery, drivetrain, WLTP range, charging conditions and boot space with all seats occupied. Also check third-row access and comfort in person, home-charging suitability, standard equipment, warranty conditions and current local pricing.
